Overview
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for analysing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network infrastructure and application components. The incumbent performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets the satisfaction of the Company and users. The incumbent also provides direction, information and recommendations on network configurations and installations.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll will also provide design, configuration and escalated problem management in client environments of medium complexity. This includes defining system architectures for business opportunities during the project take on phase, designing and developing integration plans and create links for multi-platform, multi-vendor business solutions.
You'll also identify and develop technology related opportunities and integrate IT resources to fulfil project requirements. You would be able to compile technical specifications to explain the advantages and disadvantages of options leading to the final solution and are able to create alternative solutions as backup planning.
