Clinical Research fellow required for a fully funded 3-year PhD in Translational Research in Head and neck cancer at the Institute of Cancer Research Cancer and the Royal Marsden hospital. This post has an 80:20 split between laboratory and clinical research. The research involves genomic sequencing of patient samples, bioinformatics analysis and design of biomarker based translational studies.
The post is suitable for trainees in clinical or medical oncology. Trainees from other specialities such as surgery and pathology are welcome to apply if they have suitable skills and are interested in translational research in Head and Neck cancer.
The post-holder will develop the following experience during the tenure of the post:
• Clinical Management of Head & Neck Cancers
• Clinical research and advanced data analysis skills
• Presentation, publication and peer review
• Audit and guideline development
