Job Summary:
Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs.
Participates in and supports program development, nursing research, staff development and quality initiatives. May also provide coordination of care along a defined care pathway.

Allina Health is excited to open a new Specialty Center in Lakeville, MN!
We are seeking qualified nurse candidates for our Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI) clinical services that will be located within the new Lakeville Specialty Center.
This site is scheduled to open Spring 2024, 18465 Orchard Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044.
This need is for a 1.0FTE (~40 hours per week) and full-time benefit eligible.
Clinic schedule TBD, but hours will be between Monday - Friday.
Candidates experience will be reviewed in order of preference as follows:
Tier 1 (top preference):
Tier 2:
Minimum 4 years, within the last 3 years, critical care experience required
Excellent assessments, technical skills, critical thinking, & nursing judgement required
Proficient in IV start skills preferred
Tier 3:
Minimum 5 years, (within the last 3 years), of inpatient telemetry/cardiac unit experience
Excellent assessments, technical skills, critical thinking, & nursing judgement required
Proficient in IV start skills preferred
Across All Tiers / We are looking for:
Experience administering moderate sedation preferred
Experience in diagnostic imaging or outpatient setting preferred
Current ACLS Required or able to obtain within 2 months of hire
Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities- Assessment.
- Collects, prioritizes and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Collects and prioritizes data in a systematic and ongoing process that involves the patient, family, other health care providers and environment as appropriate.
- Integrates data relevant to the situation to identify needs, patterns and variances.
- Uses appropriate evidence based assessment techniques and instruments in data collection.

Job Requirements- Associate's or Vocational degree

- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Community Hospitals (Buffalo, Cambridge, Owatonna, Faribault, Regina, New Ulm, and River Falls): INTERNAL APPLICANTS must have Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree required. EXTERNAL APPLICANTS in Specialty areas (ICU, Mom/Baby, ED, OR/Procedural areas and Mental Health) must have Associate's degree with one year of applicable experience required. In Non-Specialty areas, Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate’s degree required.
- Bachelor's degree for external applicants at metro hospitals and St. Francis in a non-specialty area required or
- Bachelor's degree for external applicants at metro hospitals and St. Francis in a specialty area (ICU, Mom/Baby, Emergency Department, OR/procedural areas and mental health) required or Associate's degree in nursing with at least one year of experience in the specialty they are applying for required or
