Business Development Manager - About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the life sciences and a proven track record in business development within the CRO or biotech industry. This role is crucial in driving the growth of our services by identifying new business opportunities and generating quality leads and securing new clients that fit the company's target company profiles (TCPs) for long term business relationships. To successfully achieve this, you will use your scientific background to align the potential needs of the TCPs with our company's service portfolio across immunology, bioanalytical and cell line engineering, build strong client relationships, and close deals.

Working within the systems set up by the company, you will deliver real time metrics for any outbound activity approach, notifying senior members of the commercial team of successes and failures, and using this to make recommendations that will deliver improved results through your evidence-based analysis.

Main responsibilities:

* Research and identify potential customers within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors who require immunological, bioanalytical or cell line engineering services with TCPs that align with our service portfolio.
* Develop and execute strategic plans to target and acquire new customers.

What we need from you:

* Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field; advanced degree (MSc or PhD) preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the CRO industry.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

* Researching and assessing information

* High level of understanding engineering drawings and writing technical documents / work instructions from them.
* Good communication skills, able to brief staff and customers on progress and next steps.
* Problem solving skills, identifying solutions to issues arising or facilitate with the appropriate person.
* Commercial and Financial awareness, able to understand project costs and identify efficiencies.

PelGar International Ltd is now recruiting for a Junior Formulation Chemist to work at their Telford Site.

Junior Formulation Chemist - About the role:

Cover all aspects of developing pesticide formulations, laboratory batches, stability testing, manufacturing trials.
Responsibilities:

* Evaluate technical complexities of new ideas and innovations to determine success factor;
* Manage regular and ad hoc projects within the R&D scope;
* Progress projects with autonomy, safely and efficiently;
* Liaise with third parties and suppliers;
* Preparing for and conducting pre-production trials;
* Work independently on own initiative and/or collaboratively with cross functional teams.
* As a technical resource, support other areas especially Quality, Manufacturing and Production.
* Comply with companies current and future health and safety requirements

Junior Formulation Chemist - Candidates Skills and experience:
* Degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry
* 1 year in formulation chemistry, an advantage
* Has some experience / knowledge with HPLC (essential)
* Some knowledge of emulsion chemistry (essential)
* Some experience working with Microsoft Excel (nice to have)
* Comfortable handling numbers and percentages (essential)
* Attention to detail
* Good Teamwork
