The Head of Implementation leads the Observatorys implementation programme. The postholder is responsible for leading the delivery of implementation projects that will enable the NHS, and where agreed, other partners, to implement the Observatorys evidenced recommendations, and other practical actions, to purposefully address racial and ethnic inequalities in health, including within the workforce. The Head of Implementation works with members of the Implementation team and wider Observatory team to develop and deliver the Observatorys implementation offer, including anti-racism focused quality improvement; and activities around community engagement, analysis and thought leadership, that will feed-into the Observatorys support offer for integrated healthcare systems. The postholder works closely with the Director of Implementation and other members of the NHS RHO team to facilitate development and deployment of innovative new models, and an income-generating Observatory consultancy offer. Responsibilities Lead the operational delivery of the Observatorys Implementation programme. Work with colleagues across the organisation, and other key stakeholders, to facilitate effective implementation of recommendations from RHO reports. Lead on the day-to-day management of implementation of RHO recommendations, working with project leads and other team members to drive and document impact. Develop and manage the Observatorys benefits register and contribute regularly to reporting, including preparing reports for the RHO Board. The Acute Physical Deterioration Implementation Network is an essential national vehicle for joint working between key stakeholders including NHS Wales, Welsh Government and the third sector to improve the outcomes and experience for those affected by acute physical deterioration in Wales. Building on the consensus recommendations for the management of acute physical deterioration across Wales paper, the next phase of service improvement for patients and their families must be to drive forward best practice in the management of acute physical deterioration in all settings. Providing effective systems for detection, monitoring and escalation of care that can minimise risks for the population of Wales, based upon current evidence and lived and learnt experience. This is an exciting and significant national leadership role within the NHS. As managerial lead of the Acute Physical Deterioration Implementation Network and working closely with the National Clinical Lead for Acute Physical Deterioration the post holder will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation and management of the existing and future work programmes of the Network together with the infrastructure available to deliver the programme. The post holder will shape the work programme to successfully deliver transformational change across the landscape, providing leadership and direction across the interfaces, joining up the constituent work programmes and other agencies to ensure alignment and a shared vision. The Nuclear Medicine Department provides a comprehensive service to the Royal Surrey Hospital and referrers from other hospital/clinical practices. Routine work includes diagnostic investigations using imaging and in-vitro techniques, and therapy using unsealed radionuclides. The jobholder will be an expert within the field of Nuclear Medicine and will maintain that expertise at the highest level. They must also provide an efficient and effective Nuclear Medicine service to the Trust. The department is also active in research, with close links to the University of Surrey and other partners, and has an active portfolio of clinical trials of Molecular Radiotherapy. As a clinical service manager, you will lead a large team of technologists, radiographers, assistant practitioners, apprentices and administrative staff supporting the diagnostic service and work in close partnership with our Medical Physics team in the delivery of the Molecular Radiotherapy service. They will demonstrate leadership and will responsible for the training, supervision and monitoring of all staff in this field. They will also take the departmental lead for aspects of clinical governance and several key performance indicators. The requirement is to: represent the service at local and divisional governance groups including the review of studies within the Diagnostic Protocol Review group; to attend meetings held by the Legal Review group, learning from Discrepancies group as well as Incident Investigation meetings and Senior and departmental managers meetings. The successful candidate will also chair monthly staff meetings, daily staff de-briefs, admin meetings and various other internal departmental meetings. The successful applicant will be required to assist with the maintenance of the Quality Management System to maintain the BS70000 accreditation. Oversee on-going compliance with the standard and all legislation pertinent to the business of imaging and healthcare including but not limited to: IR(M)ER and IRR, NICE and COSHH guidelines. The post holder is required to act as a Radiation Protection Supervisor for diagnostic procedures carried out in the Department and to be responsible for the well-being, training, and supervision of imaging and A&C staff including students from both this Trust and other hospital trusts as required.

As the Emergency Preparedness Manager, you will be expected to: Strategically develop, manage and provide an expert and high-quality specialist Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response and business continuity advice function for the Regional Centre. Lead in the development of guidance for UKHSA health Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response strategies for the Regional Centre and to contribute nationally as appropriate, in compliance with UKHSAs status as a Category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act. Where appropriate lead and manage the Emergency Preparedness Administrator(s) in the team. Ensure the Region's resilience by providing strategic direction in the development and coordination of the organisations emergency preparedness and planning arrangements. Ensure the Regional Centre business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly. Actively contribute to and sustain the formulation of regional policies and strategies, contingency guidance and plans, through liaison with the emergency services, the military, Other Government Departments (OGDs), Local Authorities (LA's), other responsible agencies e.g. public utilities, voluntary agencies, industry and commercial organisations.
