We are currently seeking a technology professional to lead a team in the development of a new offering that will revolutionize data transfer within the Life Sciences industry by facilitating the transfer and translation of recipe, order, material, equipment, etc. information for Life Sciences products across and between a variety of ERP, CMMS, DCS, and MES systems.
Emerson is an automation leader in the Life Sciences space and is growing our Life Sciences technology team. We help customers to deliver life-saving and life-improving products from research to delivery than has ever been possible before.
The Singapore-based development team will own a key portion of this new technology and will collaborate across the global Emerson technology organizations in support of this vision as well as working with our customer partners in bringing this innovative solution to fruition.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
· Manages development and test personnel including hiring, work evaluations, personnel action recommendations, etc.
· Mentors, develops, and grows a team of high-performing software development professionals.
· Works with team members to prioritize, refine, assign, and evaluate development work
· Acts as an interface between the team and upper-management, including regularly reporting on development progress, risks, and mitigating actions
· Manages team development risks and removes impediments to the team’s progress
· Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
· Ensures products are developed in accordance with cybersecurity best-practices and policies.

For This Role, You Will Need:
· Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
· 5+ years’ experience managing and/or leading a team of software engineers in the development of software products.
· Ability to work in a complex team structure, including distributed teams.
· Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
· Experience working in an Agile software development environment, preferably using Scrum or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
· Deep understanding of the complexities in developing cloud-based, cross-platform, and/or data science applications.
· Familiarity with web service frameworks and RESTful resource implementation
· Experience with the Life Sciences industry or adjacent technologies (e.g. MES, ERP, CMMS, DCS, LIMS, etc.).
