As a Public Health Advisor you will:

• Perform expert analysis and prepare intricate, substantive study reports to cover, at a minimum, study approach and methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
• Serve as senior level evaluator and conduct complex evaluation studies on one-of-a­ kind or controversial operating public health programs having far-reaching bureau or department-wide impact.
• Formulate national program and project goals, objectives, operating policies, strategic program plans, guidelines, standards, and priorities.

This position is located within the Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Associate Director for Administration, Human Resources Division (HRD), HR Benefits and Support Branch, Benefits and Systems Unit.

This position is responsible for carrying out a variety of benefits functions and advises management and counsels employees on such programs as health and life insurance, leave, Thrift Saving Plan (TSP) and other related benefits.

At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
1. Serves as the technical expert and provides guidance and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees in executing a variety of employee benefits' programs, which may include workers' compensation, retirement, health and life benefits, Thrift Savings Program (TSP), and Long-Term Care Program.
2. Handles correspondence to employees/survivors on complex, delicate, or highly contested determinations of benefits eligibility and/or retirement coverage (e.g., FERCCA cases, VERA/VSIPs, employee death, re-employed annuitants, etc.).
3. Advises, interprets, designs, implements, and assesses benefits program policies and initiatives.
4. Responsible for carrying out benefits activities and providing advice to managers, supervisors, and employees concerning the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.
5. Serves as the workers' compensation program manager in formulating, implementing, and managing the full range of policies, programs, and procedures.
6. Provides advice on/calculates retirement determinations in complex cases, such as re-employed annuitants and disability retirements; provides advice and guidance on similarly complex entitlement determinations where the benefit program and/or requirements are vague or difficult to apply specific cases.
7. Responsible for conducting periodic data integrity audits and for trouble-shooting areas of non-compliance in order to identify fundamental causes of such errors and to propose corresponding solutions.

As a Telecommunications Specialist (Aviation), your typical work assignments may include:

• Participating in sensitive covert activities requiring the installation and recovery of electronic devices.
• Tracking and intercepting airborne surveillance to assist personnel with investigative operations by integrating the use of electronic communications equipment.
• Designing and modifying large and diverse inventory of highly specialized state-of-the-art electronics used in surveillance and information gathering activities to support criminal investigations and prosecutions.

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Miami International Airport (MIA), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. Oversees OHO's administrative and personnel delegations of authority program.

The DAC, OEOSM is responsible for administering and leading OHO's employee development, career and succession planning programs, and general activities of the OHO National Training Center and Learning Resource Center. Develops overall OHO training policy and develops operating procedures related to training and employee development for OHO employees nationwide. Provides technical assistance to components to conduct needs analysis and set priorities and conducts a comprehensive training evaluation program to ensure the cost-effectiveness of training and stewardship of resources devoted to meeting training needs. Administers and manages the performance management program, the PACS appraisal system, and employee recognition programs, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees. The incumbent formulates, develops, communicates, and oversees field practices and procedures governing Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) conduct, performance, and alleged public misconduct complaints in coordination with the Office of the Chief Administrative Law Judge (OCALJ). Processes requests for settlements in labor relations matters. In coordination with Office of Labor Management and Employee Relations (OLMER) and the Office of General Counsel (OGC), conducts administrative investigations of harassment and other potential misconduct. As a Legal Instruments Examiner your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review appropriate documents for the transfer of real property interests and perform review of legal instruments and related documents (e.g., easement agreements, purchase options, exhibits, land exchange agreements, mortgage subordinations, affidavits, solicitor's opinions, waivers, pre-acquisition contaminant reports) required for the acquisition of interests in land for assigned projects.
• With assistance from Realty Specialists, participate in various realty transactions associated with the acquisition of interests in land and exchange of land.
• Assist in the procurement and review of abstracts of title, title certificates, or other forms of title evidence. Examine title and makes recommendations on how to cure title problems or clear title.
• Review title defects and objections raised by the Solicitor's office, and recommend steps to correct title.
