SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, implement, and monitor the Family Child Care Program to meet the needs of the community and ensure the health and safety of children. Assesses child care needs and child care options within the community. Provides on and off base community child care education and resource and referral services to families requiring child care.
DUTIES:
- Ensures Family Child Care Program policies and procedures are in place and followed; recruits new providers to support the mission of the program.
- Performs a variety of duties in support of the Family Child Care Program to include background checks, management of resources, establishment and maintenance of a resource-lending program, accomplishment of required reports, creation and maintenance of necessary documentation and files, and carrying out of public relations tasks.
- Provides training to Family Child Care providers on business practices, supervision and accountability, child abuse, identifying, prevention, and reporting fire, safety, and health regulations, child nutrition etc.
- Performs a wide variety of administrative duties related to Family Child Care, Expanded Child Care, Missile Care, Home Community Care, Deployment Care, Subsidy, Extended Duty Care, 24/7 Child Care, Air Force Aid Society Child Care for PCS/Volunteers, Respite Care, etc.
