• Incumbent serves as trained and experienced member of a wildland fire module or hand crew or engine crew executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post fire activities.

In this Local Hire (Environmental Floodplain Specialist) position, you will provide technical assistance to facilitate floodplain management in support of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and HM strategy objectives and requirements.

Typical assignments include:

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable floodplain management regulations, ordinances, executive orders, policies, and guidance to meet the goals of the HM strategy and the FEMA mission.
• Gathering, reviewing, and organizing the disaster-related information and field data.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Sales Associate is responsible for providing all Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) customers with world class customer service with an additional emphasis on courtesy. Sales associates are the primary service providers and will assist customers in every aspect of the retail business in a friendly, professional, and proactive manner that supports continued customer loyalty. Sales associates assist their customers in challenging scenarios by using an ¿I can do that¿ mindset, to make all attempts for a positive customer experience and outcomes, before asking for support from the next level mentor or supervisor. Sales associates are brand and customer program ambassadors for all Marine Corps and MCX programs, including but not limited to, Military Star, Super Star Student, customer satisfaction surveys and Keep it New. 

This position can be scheduled throughout the facility, based on the needs of the business including but not limited to, cashier or self-checkout attendant, customer service, salesfloor / department support, stockroom / backroom, and military clothing.  In addition to working indoors, associates may be required to work outdoors or inside coolers and/or chillers. Limited time durations and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided when working inside coolers and/or chillers. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Installs, modifies, troubleshoots, and repairs new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam heating, steam generation, and hydraulic systems, steam generators, flash and expansion tanks, condensate, vacuum, and circulating pumps, and radiators.
• Incumbent installs, maintains and adjusts equipment such as meters, valves, compressors pumps, steam traps, grease traps, strainers, reducing valves, heating coils, radiators, automatic mixing valves, expansion tanks, dishwashers etc.
• Incumbent tests systems and equipment for proper operation, circulation, flow, pressure, and leak free joints. Traces and troubleshoots pipe, systems, and equipment to locate and repair leaks and trouble spots.
• Incumbent performs preventative maintenance inspection of systems and equipment. Incumbent works from blueprints and performs work using own judgment and decisions in order to plan, lay out, route and install/repair sewage, water, oil and gas distribution systems, bathroom fixtures, sprinkler systems or high-pressure piping systems.

• Make necessary adjustments to generator and turbine auxiliaries to assure proper operation.

Serves as a Medication Technician in a Federal Bureau of Prisons Institution.

Responsible for the administration and distribution of medication to inmates in various locations, including the Health Services Unit, Special Housing Units, or other designated areas within the institution.

Administers medications to include but not limited to Oral, Topical, Nebulized, Meter Dose Inhaler, and Insulin, in a manner consistent with nationally recognized safe medical practices, to include accurate identification of the patient, medication, dosage, time, and route.

Reports and records adverse medication reactions.
