- Program Administration, Planning and Coordination: Incumbent provides leadership and senior level expertise to Branch staff by creating, implementing and leading program and project plans, including setting and tracking of performance metrics, and evaluation. Will lead and work with teams to develop and update strategic plans and accomplish planning goals, including providing guidance, instruction, and motivation to teams. Incumbent will build and strengthen partnerships, especially toward leveraging program resources. Will report to the Branch Chief the status of work to be completed and accomplished. Recommends Bureau-wide policy, standards, and procedures for the response and identification of resilient actions and strategies available to Indian Country and Alaska Native Villages. The incumbent will serve as a Central Office expert on relocation, adaptation, and resilience, leading robust teams serving Tribes, including integration with the development and implementation of the Branch's Annual Awards Program and the Community Driven Relocation Program.
- Awarding and Budget Support: Provides leadership and overall support for the Branch in the annual awarding process through reviews, processing, and identification of program efficiencies and monitoring of tribal awards. Provides senior level expertise and responds to tribal inquiries of requirements for participating in the Annual Awards Program.
- Training and Technical Support: Maintains current knowledge of developments impacting tribal resilience across BIA Regions, develops (with partners) and coordinates delivery of training opportunities for Tribes, and provides technical support such as tool development and data delivery for climate adaptation and resilience planning.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Leads special assignments at the general direction of the supervisor to support goals and objectives, including responding to reports and recommendations from the Office of Inspector General or the Government Accountability Office. This also includes working through plans and ensuring that the work is completed and that the plan, team, problems, and communications needed to achieve the outcomes are managed.
