Incumbent serves as a region-based senior inspector who assists the Team Lead in managing the inspection program. Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FIDC-insured institutions' compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending.

The Associate Chief of Staff, Geriatrics and Extended Care (ACOS/GEC) is responsible for providing a full range of geriatric services for a diverse group of aging Veterans within the Hines VA Hospital. These duties include but are not limited to referral consultation covering all issues of Geriatrics. The ACOS/GEC will perform as a consultant to our inpatient service, Emergency Medicine service, and others as appropriate. In addition, the ACOS/GEC will perform Geriatric Evaluation and Management and will develop treatment plans for our residents in the Community Living Center.  Responsible for the collection and processing of clinical laboratory specimens.

Collect clinical laboratory specimens (human blood) for testing requested by a clinician. Collection of specimens will be accomplished via routine venipuncture and capillary procedures.

Collect other body fluids and clinical specimens (i.e. stool, urine, sputum). Instructs patients on proper collection of specimens such as stool and urine for laboratory analysis.

Responsible for specimen processing and transport. Processing will include, but not be limited to, specimen centrifugation, aliquoting, and mixing.

Assists laboratory staff in a variety of laboratory related activities, including but not limited to, ordering entry into a computerized laboratory information system, preparing laboratory related paperwork, storing and inventorying laboratory supplies.

Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital is seeking a full time board certified or board eligible Neurologist qualified to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with neurological diseases, according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques. Applicant with diverse general Neurology experience, with cognitive or multiple sclerosis experience preferred but not limited to those specialties. Duties also include outpatient and inpatient neurological evaluations; patient examinations; diagnosis; consultations and inpatient service. ACLS /BLS required. Hines VA Hospital is a tertiary hospital affiliated with and adjacent to Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood Illinois ten miles due west of downtown Chicago. The selectee is accountable to the Service Chief, Department of Neurology.

Patient Care Duties at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Medical Center

• Develop and maintain a faculty outpatient Neurology practice and academic program, that provides extensive expertise in the treatment of various neurologic conditions
• Neurology Inpatient Service:
  • Evaluates and manages the neurology inpatient service as the attending physician and advises the primary physicians on inpatients hospitalized at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA for which consults from the Neurology Service are requested. This will include evaluation and care for patients in the Emergency Department, Medical Service, Surgical Service, and from other inpatient services.
  • Supervises and teaches trainees including medical students, residents and fellows.

The Sales, Marketing & International Directorate provides value to the U.S Postal Service and its stakeholders by auditing and reviewing data collection systems, operations, as well as products or services related to sales and customer relations, marketing, product innovation, global business, mail entry and payment technology, and corporate communications issues. The directorate often uses complex data analysis of payment, tracking, and other systems to identify trends. Staff combine their data trends with evaluations of policy, field observations, interviews, and more to identify opportunities to strengthen controls and make data-driven recommendations.

About the Position: The Auditor role requires the individual to be highly motivated and experienced in conducting program and performance audits. The employee is to serve as a full-performance senior member of an audit team conducting systematic performance, financial, or attestation reviews and audits of Postal Service programs and operations, including assessments of efficiency, adequacy of internal controls; compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and/or contracts; and detection of fraud, waste, and abuse.
