Key Job Accountabilities

· Directly reporting to the General Counsel & Data Privacy Officer, the ideal candidate is an ambassador to their trusted ‘gate-keeper’ role and will closely liaise with various business colleagues (sales and marketing), operations, regulatory, supply chain functions and other regional peers; in managing all legal and reputation risks.

• For pre-employment processes, serves as the initial point of contact for new appointees including but not limited to paid or without compensation employees, volunteers, students, residents, and contractors.

• In conjunction with the Personnel Security Specialist and/or lead/supervisor, presents training/briefings for supervisors, managers, and employees related to various aspects of the Personnel Security Program.
• Requests information from various law enforcement agencies and courts. Assures that the approving official is kept informed of these actions.
• Reviews applicant's data ensuring that the submitted information matches the demographic data and that all required information has been provided.

This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed above represent the full performance level of GS-7. Our client is looking for a Legal Assistant to join business on a permanent basis. This is a new role to the organisation following a period of continued growth where the Managing Director & Senior Management Team need some additional support. This role has been created to support the Managing Director with a range of legal assistant duties on a daily basis, almost similar to a PA role in some duties, but most of the focus will be on a range of Legal Administrative duties in the property / construction sector.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

• Working with Senior Management team to understand what projects are currently being worked on and what support is needed.

• PA / Secretarial or similar experience, where you have that instinct to know what support is needed and can prepare for tasks ahead of time.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Build a strong rapport and working relationship with the MD and the senior management team.
• Must have strong IT skills and be familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Outlook.
• Comfortable managing own working load and prioritising key tasks.
• Someone who is flexible and can support the wider teams in the business when needed.
