Job Title: Workplace Logistics Operative

Job purpose

To support the Logistics Manager, with a one team approach, to provide a first class, professional logistics service to client and customers of the BBC in London W1 Complex and other regional sites.

Responsibilities

-Logistics Operatives will generally specialise in one of the areas specified below, however a prime function will be to assist when required and as directed by the Logistics Manager in other areas of the logistics operation.

General Duties (applicable to all areas)

-Assist in ensuring the logistics services meets or exceeds the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators required by the BBC.

-To ensure stores are correctly receipted, unpackaged, checked, and stored where required or the BBC client is informed of its arrival.

-Printing and Reprographics: (site dependent)

-Operate high volume photocopiers and specialist printing equipment

-Collection of customers printing requirements.

-First line maintenance of copiers and the co-ordination and management of external maintenance.

Job Role - Kitchen Fitter

Location - Norwich, Norfolk

Duration: 3 Month Contract starting in the New Year

Pay Rate - £20per hour CIS Using Own Van and Tools

ARC Group are currently recruiting for a local authority for Kitchen Fitter in Norwich to join their maintenance team on a short term basis. The works are on social housing properties on their planned works team.

Working hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and early finishes on Friday.

Role requirements for Kitchen Fitter:

• Must have proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix carpentry (ideally on social housing)
• Must have experience with full kitchen fit outs including plumbing
• Experience of facilities or housing maintenance
• Full UK driving licence

Job description: Carpenter

Location: Thetford and surrounding areas

Duration: Permanent

Rate: £32,000 + company van & fuel card

Our client, a housing association, is looking for an experienced Carpenter to carry out domestic maintenance works on their properties, which involves assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks. You must have relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works and will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of day-to-day jobs allocated by a central team.
• Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
• Ensuring all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.
• Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
• Carpentry experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

• Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification.
• Asbestos Awareness Training. (ARC can provide free online training for this)
• Full UK driving license
• Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17.00pm, 08:00am to 14:30 pm on Friday.
