You must have an excellent track record of success at a senior level , together with experience of partnership working with external agencies. The DeputyDirector of Nursing and Qualitywill support theDirector of Nursingin the delivery of the Trust's corporate, professional and operational leadership responsibilities. The post holder will work collaboratively with members of the Trust senior leadership team in the achievement of quality, workforce, financial and performance objectives with specific responsibility for clinical and quality governance.
The successful postholder will have significant experience relating to quality, patient safety and clinical governance. The Deputy Director will support the Director of Nursing in providing leadership, advice, supervision and support to Nurses, Midwives, AHPs and Clinical Professionals throughout the Trust, ensuring that high quality clinical practice is integrated and embedded into all patient services.
The Deputy Director is responsible for supporting the Joint CNO and Director of Nursing in the development and delivery of the Strategy for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals.
This includes the development of leadership potential and capacity across the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals to drive and deliver consistent improvement in quality and safety, ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients and their families.
Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, the post holder will maintain and provide assurance on clinical governance systems and processes, Quality Commission (CQC) standards, clinical policy, workforce strategy, clinical quality and safety, patient experience, complaint resolution and PSIRF.
The post holder will deputise across the full range of the Director of Nursing portfolio as required and work with Heads of Nursing and wider Clinical and Allied Health Professionals to meet regulatory requirements and to promote the highest standards of Nursing, Midwifery and AHP care.
