Job Summary
Lead the CIB Data Management & Governance team’s activities in ensuring good Data Management and Data Quality within CIB platforms and process. These activities include but are not limited to:
• Leading complex root cause analysis of data issues, identifying, mobilising and collaborating with required SMEs to perform and conclude root cause analysis.
• Review root cause analysis outcome with recommendations on proposed solution in collaboration with relevant SMEs.
• Provide thought leadership on data design best practices.
• Collaboration with Chief Data Office (CDO) and CIB downstream data consumers in defining pan-bank cross-cutting solutions.
Strategy
This role is positioned to support the Head of Data Governance & Management CIB & EA and the Head of Data Governance & Programmes CIB, focusing on ensuring good Data Governance and Management.
Business
• Develop a cross-cutting view and understanding of the current state of data, processes, and systems for CIB.
• Lead complex root cause analysis for data issues involving CIB systems & processes, partnering with Subject Matter Experts in these areas.
• Lead problem statement definition through requirements verification of data consumers, current state of data producers and gap analysis of consumer requirements against data production.
• Effectively engage senior business stakeholders across geographies - Strong communication skills and ability to tailor complex content to stakeholder audiences.
• Build strong and effective relationships with programme and business counterparts.
• Proven experience in co-ordination of multiple dependencies and stakeholders in complex, large scale deployment environments
Processes
• Work in Enterprise agile environment and guide the relevant Data, Product and Process owner teams in shaping problem statements, defining approaches to root cause analysis of specific complex problems and identifying impacted stakeholders for engagement.
• Alignment to CIB Data Quality Issue Management and Resolution process in ensuring that root cause analysis and solution definition hand-off into solution delivery.
• Support feasibility and options analysis for solution of complex data issues arising from CIB Issue Management register.
• Master and gain in-depth understanding of the Data Quality standards, CIB logical data models (where applicable) and data flow across domains to ensure the smooth and effective solutioning of Data issues across CIB.

• Work closely with the Process Owner of the CIB Issue Management and Resolution process to prioritise / resolve highest risk data issues.
Governance
• Supports the setup and/or maintenance of the relevant governance forums

Our Ideal Candidate
Specific skills/experience/attributes:
• 10+ years experience working in a financial institution with knowledge of banking processes and data management
• Experience with reviewing, understanding, and mapping a complex business process to determine how specific regulatory obligations & policy requirements impact a process and the respective controls/elements in those processes
• Experience with designing solutions to meet policy and regulatory requirements for existing processes, in collaboration with technology
• Strong prioritisation and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, time, and change effectively
• Prior experience working in Agile Scrum team will be advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in managing various stakeholder groups
• Strong problem solving / analytical skills
• Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and work with minimal management oversight
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify areas of focus for solution design and implementation
• Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
• Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills
• Any other relevant project management certification(s)
