The School of Construction and Engineering is looking for a Learning Assistant to support our students with theory and practical activities in Brickwork.
This exciting opportunity will allow the right individual to pass on their knowledge of the Brickwork industry to our students.
This is a hands-on role in our workshops, supervising and coaching students whilst assisting the lecturers. If you have a flair for passing your knowledge on to others, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to act as a role model, this could be just the job for you.
You will support with the setup and preparation of classrooms, workshops, and resources; working to ensure all equipment and stock is maintained and meets the needs of the students and industry requirements.
You will be able to assist students with their practical work and impart your industry experience to further develop our student’s employability skills relevant to their career goals.
The successful candidate should have current industry knowledge and ideally, have relevant qualifications at level 2 & 3.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. You will be based at our well-equipped industry specific Campus in Luton.The closing date for applications is Sunday 17th November 2024. The successful candidate will join our team from January 2025.

The Priory School is a thriving learning community, which seeks to appoint two teaching assistants. A highly inclusive school, we have 20% of our intake on the SEN register with 28 students currently with EHCPs.

We are in our second year of enrolling students into our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) Hub. The Hub caters for 20 students that have EHCPs with speech, language and communication, including Autism, as their main presenting need.

Teaching assistants will work with students allocated to the SRP and identified other students on the SEN register. We are keen to appoint new colleagues who have the relevant experience or are willing to undertake the necessary qualifications to support the life chances of these young people.
