What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for the below alongside other duties:

About the Role
Sutton Council is seeking a pension professional to fill the senior pensions officer position in its shared LGPS service with Kingston Council.

The successful applicant will take a senior role in the delivery of the employer liaison and governance function of the service. The position's key responsibilities include:

Supporting admissions, cessations and bulk transfers
Liaising with employers about TUPE implications during outsourcing

About You

An opportunity has arisen for rotational band 6 Radiographers. This post requires significant experience at band 5 level and will include rotation across the service and training in a speciality area eg CT or Interventional. This area will be discussed with successful candidates after the interview.

Other responsibilities include eg Dose optimisation , appraisals, mentorship audit and leadership development. We are looking for a well-motivated and flexible radiographer who will be based at King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield and work across all sites

The Radiology Department is fully digital throughout with mobile digital units; there are also 2 CT scanners with a third at Newark Hospital. We also have a cardiac catheter suite with 2 interventional rooms, general intervention and fluoroscopy.

The post is rotational within the main radiology Department. The service is committed to the continued education of our radiographers and CPD is actively supported.

The successful applicant must:
• Have current HCPC registration
• Holds Radiography degree or DCRR
• Supervisory experience
• Significant NHS band 5 experience
• Perform x-ray examinations to a high standard, whilst observing the Ionising Radiations Regulations 17 and the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017 and the Local rules.
• Communicate effectively in an appropriate manner, information to patients and staff concerning radiological examinations.
• Communicate with external MDT teams and professionals to ensure high standards of patient care and an efficient service.
• Be aware of the responsibilities placed on him/her under the Health and safety at Work Act, 1974 and subsequent Health and Safety legislations ensuring that the agreed safety procedures are carried out and maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Contribute to deliver and improving a high quality service, by participation in thedepartment's Quality Assurance and Standards setting programmes, and by updating skills and knowledge on a continuing basis and maintaining a Personal Development.
