We are looking for an experienced and committed Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our regional forensic social work team at Caswell Clinic. This role will involve deputising for the Social Work Manager and supporting the wider Social Work Team. You will be required to work to social work standards specific to secure services and manage your performance within the legal framework of this area of mental health practice.

You will work with an established multi agency clinical team across the health boards and local authorities in South Wales. Work will include supporting vulnerable individuals in an inpatient setting and in the community. You will be part of the social work team in Caswell Clinic which allows areas of specific interest to be developed and you will have access to specialist training as well as opportunities to deliver training to a wider cohort.

You will hold a complex caseload of individuals who may present with complex trauma, attachment disorder, severe distress, emotional dysregulation and who may challenge care givers. You will be a resilient and boundaries individual, able to work in a challenging environment. You will need to have effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing representing the needs of the patients with integrity and sensitivity to the needs of the service.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Social Work and significant post qualification in mental health practice.

Our Child Disability and Transition team is a frontline assessment, case management team which specialises in providing support and services to disabled children and young people across the County Borough of Bridgend. This includes children who are care experienced and those disabled young people who are transitioning into adulthood.

The team responds to children and families with complex needs or where there are early child protection concerns and provides high quality support and intervention for those with longer term needs.

Your new role
As Senior Financial Analyst you will mainly be responsible for creating and standardising all reporting for the European Finance Team, as well as supporting other business functions where needed, reporting to the CFO, Europe. The role will also involve leading a new internal audit process for the group.
In this role you are responsible for:
Develop and define business reporting, dashboards and analytics across the business, helping to build the companies' BI strategy.
Provide analytical, interpretive, investigative, and advisory services to the business.
Apply good business acumen and commercial sense to analyse information to provide value-added analytics to the management team.
Become a 'superuser' in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or another selected reporting tool. Developing the ability to write bespoke reports as required across the business.
Create a standard set of Financial Reports for use across the business.
Managing the suite of reports created, educating across sites.
Europe finance lead for supporting global BI commercial reporting
Key finance lead in working with commercial and pricing teams on sales budget, ensuring data accuracy in current year's data and correct bridging of yoy.
Liaison with various departments as required to support their business needs in a timely fashion.
Establish and run an internal audit process for Europe.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Worker who will be based within our Safeguarding Locality Teams. Our Locality Teams are currently based within three community hubs around the county borough. However, as part of recent restructure plans a fourth safeguarding hub is being created. The restructure will mean smaller case management teams and more manageable caseloads, with social work practice within Child and Family Services being underpinned by a strengths based approach within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our targeted Family Support Services are co-located with our Locality Teams to provide a continuum of services ranging from early help to intensive provision to families with complex needs. We also have teams who offer expertise in relation to children with disabilities, care experienced children and young people aged 16 and over who are entitled to leaving care services.

We would love to hear from experienced Social work practitioners who are registered with Social Care Wales, have at least 3 years experience and who are keen to progress in their social work career. The successful candidate will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, additional support and mentoring if required and will have opportunities for further career development.

In 2023 Children’s Social Care launched the ‘Signs of Safety’ social work model which underpins all of our practice in Bridgend County Borough Children’s Services. All new staff will be supported to them to develop their practice in line with the principles of the model.
