DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that all new referrals are registered within 24 hours of receipt and scanned onto the Patient Administration System (CareFlow) and CWP.
• Ensure accurate input of patient details when updating information databases and Patient Administration System (CareFlow), including routine use of the case note tracking system.
• Work closely with clinicians to manage clinic templates including amending appointment slots, cancelling, reducing, or adding new streams and adding ad hoc or new clinics onto the Patient Administration System (CareFlow).
• Liaise with referring Trusts regarding any outstanding patient reports as per Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements.
• Undertake general administrative duties e.g., collating and disseminating incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing paperwork, to contribute to the effective operation of the team.
• Support the Support Managers and Deputy Service Manager to identify patients waiting longer than the accepted timescales as outlined in policies and take action to rectify. The post holder must prioritise clinical need over waiting times e.g., referrals requiring an urgent appointment.
• Take action in line with escalation procedures to ensure management are aware of any service issues or risks and concerns raised by a service user. Ensure that issues with capacity or the delivery of waiting time targets are escalated immediately to the Deputy Service Manager in line with procedures.
• Ensure that additional clinics or changes to appointments are communicated immediately to all relevant staff within the team and the service concerned.
• To ensure that any issues or risks in delivery of waiting time targets or managing processes in line with policies or relevant procedures are escalated immediately to the Deputy Service Manager.
• Co-ordinate with other Clinic Administrators when demand varies ensuring a ‘one team’ approach for the benefit of the patient experience and quality of service provided.
• Meet with Clinic Supervisors and Support Managers on a regular basis to ensure capacity issues are escalated and actions clearly recorded to monitor progress.
• Communicate with service users (patients/relatives) via telephone in an empathetic and professional manner, using tact and diplomacy. Acknowledge potential barriers to communication e.g., language difficulties, disabilities and modify style of communication appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with all members of staff and external stakeholders, ensuring that a professional manner is always maintained.
• Undertake all duties allocated by the Clinic Supervisor as appropriate to the role e.g., creation and booking of adhoc clinics, registering referrals, appointment bookings.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team, to organise own workload and prioritise urgent matters.
• Good knowledge of Health Records systems and CareFlow.
• Maintain a good understanding of RTT and Cancer Standards and contribute to the compliance of all patient pathway targets.

We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Data Manager who will be based in the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team which supports a large number of commercial and academic Phase 1 trials. The role will assist the research nurses, consultants and trial coordination management team with various aspects of data management including completing case report forms and liaising with clinical trial monitors to ensure the data sent is valid and their requirements are met at site monitoring visits.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the clinical trials process, and be IT literate with previous experience of administrative work, ideally with data management experience.

The post holder will assist with the data management and administration of clinical trials from feasibility to archiving including (but not limited to):
• Assist with the efficient and timely set up of clinical trials by creating trial workbooks for source data collection.
• Manage own workload for daily trial activity including case report form (CRF) completion and query resolution to meet internal and external deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The specific responsibilities will depend on the requirements of each team, but may include:

• Act as a point of contact for the core Research and Development team, study sponsors, clinical research organisations and specific research teams, communicating directly with them regarding data queries, monitoring visits and other enquiries relevant general trial conduct.

• Timely set up and initiation of source data workbooks within an assigned team, under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Trials Data Coordinators for review by the lead Research Nurse and ensure version control is maintained.

• Track all payments throughout each clinical trial including completion of activity logs ensuring that all research activity is recorded to facilitate full cost recovery.

• Assist with the maintenance of the investigator site files and essential documentation (filing consent forms and enrolment forms and completing patient logs) in accordance with ICH-GCP and Trust SOPs to ensure they are kept inspection ready at all times.

• Responsible for keeping trial folders, including blood results and laboratory requisition forms up to date in accordance with the study’s standard operating procedure.

• Complete team reporting mechanisms (i.e. recruitment activity logs, patient visit logs, costings spreadsheets, CRF trackers, electronic proformas, serious adverse events trackers, data entry metrics trackers and workbook trackers).

• Ensure collection and tracking of clinical case notes for all patients, so that these are available as needed, for monitoring and audit purposes.

• Ensure that data collected for all trials meets protocol requirements and is complete and accurate.

• To check the validity and completeness of research data collected within the Trust and take action to obtain or correct missing or contradictory data.

• Complete case report forms as per sponsor requirements to meet data entry deadlines stipulated in the clinical trial protocol and/or contract.

• Liaise with clinical trial monitors to ensure the data sent is valid and their requirements are met at site monitoring visits.

• To resolve queries by initiating correspondence or direct contact with the research nurses/clinicians and other relevant health care professionals ensuring that reporting timelines are met.

• Support the clinical research nurses to ensure that reports of serious adverse events are returned to co-ordinating centres/sponsors within the standard time frame.

• To advise senior members of the team as appropriate, of any concerns relating to protocol adherence, data quality, handling of confidential data or meeting timelines.

• Completion of clinical trial specific databases with data from various sources such as questionnaires, hospital records and other electronic and paper sources.

• Liaise with internal and external NHS staff regarding case notes, data collection, archival tumour blocks, mortality data, and other general trial activities, which may be confidential and sensitive in nature.

• To ensure confidentiality and security of patients data at all times, particularly when transferring data outside of the Trust.

• Arrange shipping and delivery of relevant trial data and documents including import/export of anonymised data.

• Arrange team and trial related meetings as required, producing minutes in a timely manner.

• Ensure that data is available and up to date for any meetings related to a clinical trial.

• If required attend project related meetings, investigator meetings (abroad or teleconferences, as necessary) and Site Initiation Visits to convey the relevant information to the study team.

Ideally educated to Masters level, you will be expected to practice autonomously at an advanced level with highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and management of lung oncology patients. As a lead specialist in a defined area of radiotherapy related care, the ACP (Lung Oncology) will formulate clinical decisions and complex treatment plans to manage acute and chronic illness and will respond to actual and potential health problems appropriately. They will participate in the direct clinical management of patients from first presentation at the hospital, until discharge. Working hours must be flexible to fit the needs of the service and individuals will be expected to participate in all shift patterns and will be contracted to work between 6am and 11pm.

Communication
• The post holder will provide and receive highly complex, and sometimes sensitive information on aspects of patient care.

Knowledge Training and Experience
• The post holder will have highly developed specialist knowledge across radiotherapeutic, chemotherapeutic, surgical, palliative and other medical aspects of patient care within lung oncology. This will be underpinned by theoretical knowledge and extensive relevant practical experience, acquired through a combination of in-depth experience and postgraduate post-registration study, such as that obtained through a master’s degree. They will have significant formal training in, or experience within lung oncology.
• They will maintain and develop this expertise and competence in order to enable collaboration with senior colleagues and medical staff, and to facilitate the management of patients.
• They will exhibit the knowledge, skills and experience to allow them to act as an expert resource and provide advice and support to ward/departmental areas and to The Christie’s local, regional, national and international partners.
• The post holder will maintain professional registration and practice through CPD including maintaining a professional portfolio to demonstrate competency in line with the trust competency framework so as to ensure that skills remain optimal and new elements can be added to the skills portfolio. They will identify their own development needs in line with service requirements and participate in setting a personal development plan. To support this they will work with a named mentor from within the medical team.



Analytical and Judgemental Skills
• The post holder’s key function will be as an ACP (Lung Oncology) supervising critical elements of the patient pathway in patients under the care of a Clinical Oncologist who acts as the consultant of record. As such they will act as part of a clinical team led by the oncologist. They will assess complex facts and situations, using analytical skill, interpretation and comparison of a range of options using a wide variety of assessment methods. In the clinical management of patients, competing, contradictory or unclear inputs are expected. Owing to the nature of the post following the whole patient pathway, they may have competing expected outcomes from the patient, the Trust, and other healthcare partners.
• The post holder will continually review and evaluate their own role and clinical practice informing the annual review process. They will practice evidence based health care and by assessing clinical evidence, best practice guidelines and national policy statements will be responsible for defining developing, monitoring and updating Trust clinical policies in relation to their own area of practice. They will analyse relevant national policies in specific tumour sites, advise on impact for service, and contribute to the implementation of changes and evaluation of processes in partnership with the MDT.



Planning and Organisational Skills
• The post holder will plan and organise complex clinical management plans. Plans will be formulated and adjusted to respond with developments and changes in circumstances such as changes in the patient’s conditions. This will involve developing, structuring and scheduling activities, including the allocation of tasks to colleagues, within the Trust or from partner organisations. They will have responsibility to lead on translating developments within their specialist area for implementation in the clinical setting.

Responsibility for Patient/Client Care
• As a ACP (Lung Oncology), the post holder will provides highly specialist clinical and technical services. They will provide highly specialised advice to the Radiotherapy Multi-Professional Team which contributes to the design, implementation and monitoring of their radiotherapy and other elements of the clinical pathway of patients undergoing treatment for lung cancers.
• The post holder will prescribe drugs, including concurrent chemotherapy, unlicensed medication and drugs used within clinical trials as qualified Supplementary and/or Independent Prescriber; medications so prescribed will include opioids and as such the post holder will comply with the relevant Controlled Drugs policies and regulations. They will comply with the Trust’s non-medical prescribing (NMP) policy.
• They will prescribe blood products as per hospital policy.
• The post holder will recognise patients’ needs and act as an advocate for patients, carers and support partners. They will develop patient specific information and ensure patients receive appropriate information, advice and support in relation to their illness and treatment.
• They will refer patients to other professionals as appropriate and provide an environment that encourages patient centred involvement.
• The post holder will assess, recognise and manage radiotherapy radiation-induced toxicity and cancer-related side effects during and after treatment.
• The post holder will perform clinical assessments, such as rectal, vaginal and oral examinations; they will request relevant investigations for patients attending for treatment and review; following investigation they will interpret the results and take action appropriately. They may administer oral, rectal or intra-vesicle contrast media.
• At all times, they will ensure interventions are undertaken in line with best practice guidance and will perform clinical procedures safely according to defined protocols.

This is a 10PA post designed primarily to support specialised oncologic plastic surgery and reconstruction at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust which is a tertiary referral centre for the treatment of cancer. This is a substantive post.
This is a post where the successful candidate is expected to have a key role in the skin cancer and cutaneous head and neck surgery and to support the Plastic Surgery department. The appointee will be expected to be involved in all areas of oncologic plastic surgery and microsurgical reconstruction, providing cover where necessary to the existing plastic surgeons and would be expected to share cover of the perineal and urological reconstruction service.

Possession of the FRCS(Plast) and CCT, or an equivalent recognised accreditation in Plastic Surgery is essential, and interest in research and teaching is desirable. Candidates will have undergone recognised specialist training and have experience in plastic surgery oncology including microvascular reconstruction and perineal reconstruction.
The Christie is positioned to be one of the major breast reconstructive Units in the Northwest region.
Support of skin services
This service at the Christie has a well-established multidisciplinary approach to the management of patients with skin cancer. This includes surgery, medical oncology and clinical oncology; enabling the delivery of the highest quality of care to patients. Parallel clinics with oncologists for discussion of complex skin tumours and nurse led support are provided.

Role Purpose
This post is designed primarily to support specialised oncologic plastic surgery and reconstruction at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust which is a tertiary referral centre for the treatment of cancer.
The role will be responsible for:
This is a post where the successful candidate is expected to have a key role in the skin cancer service to support the Plastic Surgery department and will be one of five consultants. The appointee will be expected to be involved in all areas of oncologic plastic surgery and microsurgical reconstruction, providing cover where necessary to the existing plastic surgeons and would be expected to share cover of the perineal reconstruction service. The appointee will also be expected to provide reconstructive cover for some urological reconstruction. There will be the opportunity to build on the existing close relationships with the other oncologic specialties (colorectal, gynaecology and urology). The appointment will be offered under the New Consultant Contract in association with agreed job planning of programmed activities with the Clinical Director and will include participation in the on-call rota.
Possession of the FRCS(Plast) and CCT, or an equivalent recognised accreditation in Plastic Surgery is essential, and interest in research and teaching is desirable. Candidates will have undergone recognised specialist training and have experience in plastic surgery oncology including microvascular reconstruction and perineal and urological reconstruction. They should be on a Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
Candidates who are unable for personal reasons to work full time are eligible to apply and, if successful, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with Consultant colleagues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Consultants have access to surgical beds on ward 10 which are allocated according to need. There is a surgical day case unit with facilities for preoperative assessment. The Anesthetic service is provided by the Department of Anesthesia at the Christie by the Clinical Director Dr Pawel Aryunski supported via a SLA for anesthesia with The University Hospital South Manchester. All Consultant Surgeons and Anesthetists with sessional commitments to the Christie Hospital are members of the Directorate of Anesthetics, Theatres and Surgery and in the division of Clinical Support and Specialist Surgery.

The department of plastic surgery at The Christie has effectively two separate roles; one is in the area of resection and management of skin and soft tissue tumours and secondly, the team provides a reconstructive service for the aforementioned group and for patients requiring reconstruction following breast, colorectal, gynaecological and urological surgery. The team also provides key roles within the nationally funded NF1 and NF2 services and the Greater Manchester facial function service and runs a unique clinic for patients with Gorlin Syndrome. We also have a lymphoedema service and work closely with the lymphoedema therapists to provide this.
There is a year-on-year increase in the number of microsurgical reconstructions being performed and the successful candidate would be expected to be a competent microsurgeon and be able to support the four existing consultants.
There are regular plastic surgery clinical meetings, a regular audit programme and a teaching and education programme that the appointee would be actively involved in.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and undertake business development projects for the surgical service within the directorate working with other departments to ensure service delivery and improved productivity is supported by robust business cases and options appraisals.
• To support the clinical lead and the service manager in the management and development of a wide service portfolio and to deputise for the Service Manager and Directorate Operations & Performance Manager where necessary.
• To support the delivery of high quality, cost effective provision of these Services to the Trust, local Primary Care Trusts and the health community.

The Palatine Ward is a joint collaboration between the haematology and transplant service and the teenage and young adult (TYA) service, providing high quality care for adult patients with haematological malignancies and TYA (16-24 year old) patients with all types of cancers. We also treat paediatric patients receiving radioiodine treatment.

We are a 31 bedded ward - all rooms are en-suite side rooms - with specialist HEPA side rooms for isolating severely immunocompromised patients. We also have a specialist room for the treatment of patients undergoing radioiodine radiotherapy. We give established evidence-based specialist treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. We are JACIE accredited and regularly carry out autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants and provide exciting new treatments such as CAR T-cell therapy, all supported by a comprehensive and thorough training process, inclusive of UKONS certificate for the delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) and care of patients receiving SACT. Our Clinical Practice Facilitator team (CPF) are here to support you for your education and development needs and you will be fully supported during your orientation program and beyond. The Christie is also very research active, so we have the opportunity to support patients on clinical trials.

A nurse on The Palatine Ward will deliver care to a team of patients by monitoring them closely, performing clinical observations and fluid balance, escalating concerns to the Acute Oncology Outreach team, senior colleagues, the shift coordinator and the medical team. The role will include the administration of multiple lines of medications via all routes – oral, sub-cut, transdermal, intravenous etc and monitoring the effects on patients. There will be training and develop opportunities provided to ensure the nurse becomes competent in accessing central lines such as Hickman lines/PICC lines and in the delivery of SACT – whether this be oral, sub-cut, IV infusion or bolus administration. As the role develops the nurse would be expected to undertake the exciting role of stem cell re-infusion and CAR T-cell administration – these interventions are preceded by a strict conditioning process which the nurse will be responsible to oversee and administer whilst on shift.

Culture and Organisational Development
1. Lead a portfolio of OD initiatives that drive organisational effectiveness and staff engagement, helping to evolve cultures by impacting on behaviours, habits, and ways of working within the Trust.
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic OD and engagement plans for the workforce, delivering interventions aligned to NHS national and regional standards and providing evidence-based changes to the working lives of staff.
3. Lead the design and development of Trust values and behaviours, collaborating with stakeholders to embed these into everyday systems and processes. Design and deliver internal presentations and workshops, and showcase these at regional and national forums.
4. Be an internal consultant on OD and culture to colleagues at all levels. Diagnose, design, and deliver organisational design and organisational development interventions.

Strategic talent management, leadership and management, and PDR
1. Enhance long-term leadership capability and effectiveness by driving improvements. Lead activities that deepen our understanding of leadership within workplace culture.
2. Research and design an internal leadership development framework, articulating competencies, capabilities, behaviours and development needs and the transition points between stages. Create large-scale programmes and interventions that enable our leaders to develop in line with this framework.
3. Develop and implement the Trust strategic leadership plans, incorporating The Christie Leadership Framework into leader recruitment, selection, assessment, and development of leaders at all levels. We are seeking a clinical scientist with significant knowledge & experience to join our growing team of 30 scientists, technologists and administrators. We deliver scientific support to clinical radiology departments in the North West of England and train a number of healthcare science practitioners and clinical scientists annually plus support those developing Radiation Protection Adviser, Laser Protection Adviser, Medical Physics Expert and Consultant qualifications.

This is a rare opportunity for practice education and leadership development within radiation protection & radiology physics. The post is 50% practice educator and 50% clinical scientist. This mix will allow you to maintain CPD through service delivery while educating the future workforce. We will accept part time applications.

We have funding for 3 years to support the Practice Educator component. If funding dries up, we hope to be able to support this work continuing based on the training quality and capacity effectiveness demonstrated, or the post may become 100% standard 8A Principal Clinical Scientist after 3 years.

We are ideally looking for someone with recognition as MPE and/or a certificate of competence as RPA (or expected to gain one within 12 months). We need you to have significant experience in this field, therefore at least 3 years post registration will be expected (or equivalent breadth and depth).Suitable candidates with less experience may be appointed at band 7 & grown into the role.

Manage delivery of the Group’s training programmes and to provide support to trainees. This includes planning, delivery of training, exploring innovative techniques to deliver experiences and assessing students e.g. simulation. This is to improve the quality and capacity of the training offered.

Training students within the NW region / nationally will be encouraged to deliver efficiencies to UK workforce development. This may include collaboration with the imaging academy.

The post holder can train up to their level of competence. Building on your already significant experience, it is expected that areas of weakness will be studied independently / with colleagues to bring you to a sufficient competence across the discipline, to be able to teach to at least clinical scientist level.

You will work within the RPA Body, providing radiation protection advice to diagnostic and interventional radiology/cardiology departments and dental practitioners. You will be the primary radiation protection contact for specified organisations.

In addition, as Medical Physics Expert you will provide support for the optimisation of diagnostic and interventional radiology, developing and maintaining a close working relationship with the radiographic and clinical teams in these organisations.

A detailed knowledge of the regulations and imaging equipment is essential to support these activities.
Line management and contributing to group management is also a key part of the role.

We are the Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Protection Section of the Imaging Physics and Radiation Protection Group within CMPE, based at The Christie in Manchester.

The group is active in research and development, currently working on projects including fluoroscopy skin dose and QA of cone beam CT. Professional activities are supported with recent involvement in the IPEM

Medical and Dental Guidance Notes, FGDP Guidance Notes for Dental Practitioners and EFOMP/EURADOS working parties on patient dosimetry.

Manchester is a hub for sport, music and culture as well as a friendly, vibrant city. The Christie is located 4 miles to the south of the City, in close proximity to Didsbury and Chorlton where there are many independent shops, restaurants and bars. Due to the large regional service in the North West and formation of Imaging Networks, although the post is based at The Christie in Manchester, there may be scope to be based at another NHS Trust within the Greater Manchester or Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Systems. Clinical and Scientific:
• Provide highly specialist scientific training pertinent to diagnostic radiology and radiation protection, optical and ultraviolet radiation, to trainees and other scientific and clinical staff, if relevant. This should be in line with the department’s Quality Management System.
• In relation to the Group’s training programmes, undertake assessment of the performance and safety of a wide range of x-ray modalities (including critical examinations, commissioning and routine tests) in line with national guidelines and in line with the Group’s work instructions.
• Be responsible for the safe use, correct functioning and methodical use of complex test equipment, anthropomorphic and other test phantoms during use by yourself or others. This will involve accurate positioning and methodical use of test objects.
• Be responsible for the safe use and correct functioning of expensive and highly complex medical equipment.

Management:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working with the Senior Practice Educator, Senior Sister, & Matron, the post holder will be closely involved clinically with the development of all grades of staff including pre and post registration students.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Following patient referral, demonstrate excellent skills in taking patients’ history through medical notes, verbal report and interrogation of investigations
• To assess the critically unwell patient, initiate treatment and monitor effects based on evidenced based practice. To Liaise with the OCCU Consultant / patient team with patients causing concern
• Provide advice on appropriate airway management, oxygen therapy, cardiovascular support in the event of acute deterioration
• To assess and interpret complex patient conditions using relevant blood results and investigations in order to compare and choose treatment options
• Provide emotional support for patients and their relatives especially when discharged from OCCU to the ward environment
• Use a concise documentation framework when recording monitoring and treatment plans in the notes ensuring clarity, this should also be reinforced with verbal communication to the relevant team
• Identify clinical risks that potentially inhibit the identification and initial management of the deteriorating patient. Work with senior nurses and matron to devise strategies improve safe & effective care
• Work with members of staff ensuring smooth and safe transfer of patients from wards/theatre to the OCCU environment
• Ensure clinical policies and guidelines relating to critical care are updated in response to clinical evidence
• Ensure relevant National Guidelines relating to the critically unwell patient are adopted

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Delivery

· To lead, manage and develop clinical photography services.

· To prioritise the photographic work of the department and ensure it is carried out in a timely manner, encouraging the highest level of personal & professional standards.

· To be responsible for the development of the service to accord with the service needs of the trust. To liaise with Clinicians and other health professionals/managers to achieve best service delivery.

· To be responsible for Data management and uploading procedure carried out by the administration staff in line with information governance and data storage. To liaise with I.T and the Information governance team where necessary.

· To be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of staff training.

· Utilise appropriate methods of communication and contact with staff, to ensure effective communication of departmental, divisional & Trust matters and that there is a satisfactory system in place for their views to be reflected back to the division.

· To be responsible for the technical performance, management of the department and development of the service to the highest standards of performance and organisational efficiency.

· To undertake a system of staff appraisal in line with Trust recommendations and ensure a programme of staff development, including Personal Development plans is in place for all staff in the department. Clinical and Technical

· To provide specialist advice to clinicians on image management

· To participate in the needs of the service as required.

· Responsible for servicing and maintenance of equipment in the department.

· Undertake photographic of patients in the department studio, onwards, clinics, operating theatres, post-mortem room etc.

· To generate information using complex software systems. To maintain and update patient’s records, print clinical photographs etc., and prepare presentations for clinicians.

· To act with empathy, understanding, tact when dealing with young, elderly confused and terminally ill patients.

· Photography may require a photographer to adopt awkward working positions. Exposure to body fluids likely may be required to remove dressings prior to photography.

· Ensure that department staff are aware of infection control measures when undertaking photography on the wards and theatres.

· To maintain teamwork and to develop staff skills and skill mix.

· To analyse situations and use experience and skills to compare the options available when photographing different conditions. Patients may have “hidden” conditions that need to be taken into account.

· To liaise with the CMPE management and finance partners when developing new business cases.

Professional

· Keep up to date with all relevant Medical Imaging issues.

· To research advances in the profession, using professional judgement to apply and develop methods which are based on required operational procedures, with emphasis on cost implications of introducing new technology and changing work practices.

· To attend meetings at other Trusts to develop a support network and to share best practice with other managers within the profession.

· Responsible for the developing and implementation of departmental policies and protocols and ensuring the delivery of relevant training as necessary.

· To respect patients’ privacy and dignity whilst undertaking the photography, using concise instructions and persuasive skills to gain co-operation when patients may be need to be positioned correctly and required to remove some or all items of clothing.

· To conduct trials on new equipment where appropriate to analyse new equipment before purchase and implementation in the department.

· To be responsible for assessing own training needs and undertake continual professional development.

· Responsible for implementing local and national policies e.g. Health and Safety confidentially, patient consent etc. Follow all Caldicott guidelines for patient confidentiality and data protection.

· Communicate concise instructions to patients regarding correct positions for clinical photography using tact and diplomacy in difficult situations (patients may be required to remove several or all items of clothing).

Administrative

· Responsible for income generation in the department including development of new service areas. Liaising with senior management with regard to control and expenditure of the department budget.

· Maintains the clinical data base and make any amendments when necessary.

· To ensure the effective use of all resources and to ensure that any agreed budgets are kept within specified financial limits and operate within approved financial policies.

· Maintains suitable stock levels of consumables and researching best value for money.

· Day to day Management of staff in the department, including prioritising work load, undertaking appraisals, setting Personal Development Plans, training, recruitment/selection and disciplinary matters.
