What does this role involve?

As a Sales Assistant you’ll be at the very heart of our retail operation. Every day is different in charity retail, as well as working on the till or sorting donations, you can expect to:

Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and promoting our charity’s mission
Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales potential
Collaborate with our E-Commerce team to maximise online sales
As a Keyholder, you’ll be the go-to person when there isn’t a manager on duty, keeping the store running and ensuring our customers have a great experience. You’ll need to be 18+ years old to apply for this role.
Please note, this role can be physically demanding and will involve moving a high volume of donation bags.

You will be given lots of autonomy in your role and will strive to continually build your knowledge of BHF.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Online Customer Service Advisor to join our dynamic team and really make a difference, providing outstanding customer service to our online customers and shops.

What does this role involve?

BHF is the biggest and most successful charity retailer in the UK. It’s also our second biggest source of revenue turning donated items in to £millions that fund our life-saving work.

We are looking for someone who can excel in assisting the team as well as our customers by processing and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. You will provide a first-class customer service on behalf of the BHF, meeting all customer and client needs.

This is a full time role for 35 hours a week working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. You'll join the team on a permanent contract. This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Leeds office.

What does this role involve?

As a BHF Van Driver/Warehouse Operative, you won’t just be transporting goods, you’ll be making a positive difference to the lives of millions. You’ll play a crucial role in collecting and delivering clothing, small items and bric-a-brac for our stores across Glasgow and the surrounding areas. Your wheels will be turning towards funding life-saving research into cardiovascular health!

Every day is different in charity retail. As a BHF Van Driver you’ll be driving one of our BHF branded vans and can expect to be:

Supplying, moving and collecting stock for our standard stores
Completing house clearances and rotation of BHF stock to designated locations
Preparing stock ready for delivery and assisting store teams where required
Engaging with customers and delivering exceptional service
Unloading and loading the vehicle
Ensuring stock collection guidelines are adhered too
Ensuring that the vehicle remains roadworthy, and any defects or issues are reported in a timely manner
Following all H&S and safeguarding procedures
Working with colleagues throughout the business
Assisting with the movement of stock into and around warehouses
The role is full time for 35 hours a week. Our stores are fast-paced and trade 7 days a week. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

You'll join the team on a 6-months fixed term contract.

Please note, this role can be physically demanding and involves moving high volumes of donation bags.

You will be given lots of autonomy in your role and will strive to continually build your knowledge of BHF.

What are we looking for?

Experience of working in a customer facing role and carrying out deliveries/collections would be beneficial
You’ll work well under pressure and on your own initiative in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
