The aim of the role of the Band 7 Senior Research Midwife/Nurse is to manage and enhance the overall delivery of clinical research within the Trust by providing support and management to the existing Research team, by assisting with clinical and administrative activities related to clinical trials, from initiation to termination, in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

We are one of the largest cardiac MRI scanning centres in the UK. Our Imaging Clinical Research Facility is based in our St Thomas Hospital campus with strong research collaboration focusing on the development of novel acquisition, reconstruction and motion correction using different field strength MRI scanners. The facility is run by King’s College London, the University partner in close partnership with Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Clinical services are delivered to approximately 13,000 patients a year (Cardiac MRI, Perinatal MRI and the PET Centre), and were recently re-accredited in accordance with the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) 2021

The department supports and mentors Radiographers in their personal and professional development including actively encouraging staff to attend high profile national and international seminars, conferences, presenting posters, abstracts and presentations.

You will help to ensure that we offer a range of equitable access points into our workforce by closely managing existing project plans, ensuring milestones are met and successes are monitored and reported on. You will ensure participants get the most out of the programmes; are supported to learn, grow and develop.

You will have experience of promoting inclusion and diversity in practice either professionally, or personally. As a highly organised individual, you will have been involved in delivering projects within timescales and to brief. • Experience of working in a science background. The key aspects of the role are to support teaching and learning across the Science Department by ensuring Science Labs and Prep rooms are maintained in good working order, that practical materials for science lessons are prepared in a timely manner and ensuring the whole department is compliant with the appropriate health and safety regulations.

As part of the team, you will be exposed to some of the most interesting data protection challenges of the day, which we resolve on behalf of our varied portfolio of clients. We deliver bespoke services to public, private and third sector clients in the UK and Ireland, supranational institutions, and international organisations. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported by a network of experts in delivering services to our clients on some of the most pressing issues of the day.  



The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)/UK GDPR, and ideally have experience working with other privacy laws and frameworks.
