• Lead the inspection of fruits meet specifications for size, appearance, taste, and shelf life.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, SQF, and other relevant quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and packaging teams to identify quality issues and work proactively to resolve them.
• Oversee all aspects of quality control, including produce inspection, and documentation.
• Conduct regular audits of suppliers and distribution facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
• Train and mentor staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices.
• Provide an enthusiastic and positive approach to quality and compliance for the business activities
• Implement, develop and maintain quality system policies
• Develop robust processes to ensure produce is delivered on-time, of the desired quality, and in a safe manner.
• Perform Internal Quality Audits and organise external audits for the business
• Co-ordinate with other departments regarding non-conformance & corrective action for the same
• Checking of produce for compliance with specifications
• Minimize the impact to the environment during distribution process
• Manage produce recalls and withdrawals and conduct traceability procedures during produce recall
• Make recommendations on improving quality best practices within the company

To be considered for this role you must have;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance management, preferably in the food industry.
• Proven experience in quality assurance, ideally within the fresh produce, agriculture, or food manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and other quality management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards

You will have demonstrated capability in developing and maintaining successful quality frameworks and proven experience delivering business outcomes through management system processes. Directs a highly technical workforce, including functionally integrated teams of operational and support personnel, that provides air traffic control services throughout a geographic area. The work impacts the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of aircraft as well as segments of the aviation industry.

Continuously reviews work processes to assure that results meet the agency's mission and the customer's needs, add value to facility services, and are efficiently achieved.

Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates, and is responsible for team building throughout the facility.

Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates. Sets and adjusts long and short-term priorities. Approves leave; prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities; evaluates work performance of subordinates ensuring equity of performance standards and ratings; gives advice on work and on administrative matters; makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinates; hears and resolves group grievances and serious employee complaints; effects disciplinary actions; recommends/approves selections and transfers; recommends awards or bonuses; approves expenses for overtime, equipment, and personnel within the facility; and identifies and arranges for developmental and other training needs of subordinates.
