Are you an experienced Application Support Engineer with experience of supporting SFTP applications?
Capita are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer who will support our customers SFTP applications. This role involves working with a variety of stakeholders such as; third party application vendors, customers and account team members so we are looking for somebody with good communication skills as well as extensive experience in fault finding and resolution.
The successful applicant will bring a wealth of experience of supporting SFTP and will join a large team that supports other applications which will provide a fantastic opportunity for them to broaden their skillset.
This role will also entail occasional out of hours (including weekends) work to patch/upgrade the SFTP applications and the successful application will join an out of hours rota with other team members who respond to emergency calls for SFTP and other customer software.
*The successful candidate must be eligible for SC clearance*
What you'll be doing:
- Fault finding and resolution
- SFTP Application account creation
- SFTP Application certificate installation
- Meeting with stakeholders and clients to determine requirements.
- Working with clients to determine scope of a project..
- Clarifying system specifications and understanding the nature of the clients business requirements.
- Working on agreed solutions and implementing new system designs.
What we're looking for:
- Experience of supporting SFTP applications on MS Windows server environment
- Application Support experience
- MS SQL experience (basic)
- UNIX experience would be desirable
