We are Mansys Pty Ltd, the recruitment Consultants. Our client, Radhe Krishna Investment Trust T/A BP Nyngan Truck and Travellers Stop is seeking a qualified, dependable, and enthusiastic cook to join their team at Nyngan, NSW 2825. The establishment specializes in high-quality, modern, multi-cuisine dishes, crafted with fresh ingredients. They are looking for a dedicated cook with Australian-recognized commercial cookery qualifications, eager to work in Nyngan location. This is a full-time, permanent role requiring 38 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparation, seasoning and cooking different foods as per the menu/customer orders
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Work in parallel to other cooks and/or kitchen staff
• Effectiveness in using different kitchen tools and equipment
• Maintain food handling safety and quality control,
• Prepare food for banquets and create daily specials based on available ingredients,
• Perform preparatory work such as cutting meat, skewering meat, mixing sauces, and making vegetable garnishes,
• Maintain temperature of cooking equipment’s according to different foods,
• Maintain temperature of cool room, fridges and freezers to store raw & cooked food.
• Seasoning, garnishing food items and making gravies and sauces,
• Cook food as per dietary requirements of different people,
• Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling or piercing,
• Portion, arrange and garnish food, and place in different platters
• Receiving, storing and stock segregation of foodstuffs used
• Preserve the left-over foods as per the prescribed standards,
• Take care of refrigerators and other cooking vessels, ovens, grills, tandoori etc.,
• Follow health and hygiene
Must Have
• Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery (Australian qualified)
• At least one year of Australian experience in multi cuisine like Australian, Indian, Steaks, Seafood etc.
Skills Needed –
• Proven ability to work cohesively within a team.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Maintain a neat & professional appearance.
Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of A$70,000-A$80,000 Plus Superannuation.
