**Job Description:**
We are seeking a talented and creative Head Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to the development and execution of our menu offerings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Menu Development:**
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine the menu, incorporating a mix of North and South Indian street food specialties.
- Create new and innovative dishes that showcase authentic Indian flavors while appealing to a diverse customer base.
- Conduct research on food trends and customer preferences to continuously update and improve the menu offerings.
2. **Food Preparation and Cooking:**
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian street food dishes, including dosas, chaats, Pav Bhajis and more, following established recipes and techniques.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation.
- Monitor food supplies and inventory levels, placing orders for ingredients as needed to maintain stock and freshness.
3. **Quality Control:**
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to ensure consistency and adherence to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, following food safety regulations and best practices.
- Implement procedures to minimize food waste and maximize efficiency in food preparation and cooking.
4. **Team Collaboration:**
- Lead culinary team to coordinate food preparation and service, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and serving areas.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or food service environment, with a focus on Indian cuisine preferred(Dosa , Pani Puris, Pav Bhaji …etc)
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Creativity and innovation in recipe development and menu planning.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
