Participates in the FAA flight program to maintain qualification and currency requirements applicable to operations inspectors, for the purpose of supporting the FAA in a variety of flight related functions to include training and evaluation of designated pilot examiners. Evaluates tasks contained in the FAA practical test standards and airman certification standards by participating as pilot in command or as a crewmember. The inspector is required to maintain an FAA second class medical.

Rulemaking:
The incumbent serves an Aviation Safety Inspector responsible for reviewing and evaluating, on a continuing basis, established rules and regulations related to assigned technical programs to assure that they have kept pace with the needs to which they were directed and are reasonable, necessary, and adequate. Evaluates regulatory petitions or proposals from within or outside the agency, and recommends and participates in the development of new or amended rules, regulations, or other regulatory material, and the discontinuance of rules and regulations no longer considered necessary.

Exemptions:
Incumbent is responsible for the preparation of Federal Register notices regarding assigned technical programs for original petitions for exemptions and analysis of technical input from other employees within Flight Standards. Also, the incumbent coordinates with other Aviation Safety and Flight Standards Organizations to develop a complete analysis and appropriate response. Since exemptions are rulemaking documents, this review may include coordination with the Office of Rulemaking and the Office of General Counsel so that the denial, grant or
disposition of petition for rulemaking will withstand a legal challenge.

Policy Development and Implementation:

As a National Bank Examiner (Analyst to Assistant Deputy Comptroller), you will:

• Analyze supervision findings for banks and thrifts assigned to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller (ADC), identify areas of concern, determine methods of resolution and recommend appropriate action and/or follow-up.
• Fill in for the ADC during short absences. May assist the ADC to develop and monitor the performance of the annual plan, including budget for the ADC's portfolio. Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the field office as requested.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent has overall responsibility for customer service, pre-registration, scheduling, appointment management, insurance collection, administrative and clinical software maintenance, management of patient first contact resolution processes, call center software, fund control management, VistA program management patient information collection.

The incumbent is assigned to Primary Care Patient Aligned Care team (PACT) in the VA Caribbean Health Care System. PACT is a comprehensive team which delivers primary care to veterans with the focus of prevention, health promotion, coordination and chronic disease management.

The incumbent must use his/her skills in assessing and treating the psychosocial problems of these Veterans identifying, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and psychosocial acuity, to formulate a plan to meet those PACT teams under the VICTOR model "Veterans Integrated Care Treatment Optimizing Resilience", social workers are named as Behavioral Health Consultants. The BHC responsibilities includes the assessment of mental health and psychosocial problems and the provision of brief evidence based behavioral treatment interventions and counseling with veterans and/or their family members as they go through crisis events of life changing processes.

The incumbent tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Will conduct psychosocial/mental health assessment of Veterans of situations that cause distress, often impacting the health condition and creating barriers to care. Social worker must be knowledgeable of health conditions related to aging process, mental health and social environment. Home visits may be done, to assess housing conditions, physical limitations, source of family support, care needs, and other issues that affect their treatment, recovery and/or physical/emotional health.

- Is responsible for assist in the development of a care plan and setting achievable goals oriented plans with the with the Veterans and family members/caregiver in collaboration with all PACT team providers. Incumbent also provides education related to VA and community resources, entitlements, Advance Directives/Living Will and will refer Veterans/families to the appropriate interdisciplinary team member for identified health education needs.
