- Provides comprehensive assistance and liaison services to and for victims of spouse abuse and educating personnel on the installation regarding the most effective responses to domestic violence on behalf of victims and at-risk family members.
- Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
- Identifies, distributes, and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization.
- Screens victims of spouse abuse, evaluates their needs, and provides them with information about domestic violence, safe and confidential ways to seek assistance, their rights as Army spouses, and the resources and services available to them.
- Maintains current information on resources and services and advises victims regarding restricted/unrestricted reporting and before disclosure of the limited confidentiality rule.
- Advises all on and off-post agencies who seek guidance on making a report of suspected child maltreatment or domestic violence on the procedure for contacting the Report Point of Contact (RPOC).
- Serves as non-voting member of the Case Review Committee when this body is reviewing a case with which the incumbent has been the principal service provider.
- Provides input to FAP Manager in the establishment and implementation of local policies and directives pertaining to the Victim Advocate Program.
- Conduct briefings on installation FAP policies, dynamics of spouse abuse, availability of treatment services, procedural requirements for handling both on and off post spouse abuse cases, state laws, and other information about family violence.
