The Role

Line management and a coaching approach are essential to this role. The postholder will be responsible for the direct line management of a group of Research Librarians in addition to deputising for the Head of Service in their absence.

• Acting as Senior Records Officer for the wider team, ensuring that information is maintained, accessible and archived in accordance with local policy.

What you will do:

You will be expected to:

• Take a leadership role and drive statistical thinking in cross-functional team projects, within an international environment
• Contribute to strategic planning and quantitative decision making in early clinical development programmes
• Lead the delivery and oversight on drug project(s) and/or studies to time, quality and standards, including partnering with CROs and with Programming
• Participate in applying, adapting and/or developing statistical methodology
• Contribute to development of new procedures and standards to increase quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
  

Depending on your experience, the role may also include:

• Interactions to influence key stakeholders and governance
• Acting as a technical expert in interactions with external providers and collaborators
• Mentoring and coaching junior staff and supporting them with education and training in statistics
• Working with regulatory agencies, e.g. attending meetings, answering questions

Essential in the role:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics (containing a substantial statistical component) with experience in pharma/healthcare or other relevant area

• Experience of data analysis and interpretation in a relevant area
• Strong knowledge of programming in R and/or SAS
• Excellent written and spoken English. Excellent communication skills (including communicating with non-statisticians) and ability to build strong relationships
• Excellent collaboration skills required - the energy to work across global & functional boundaries, both internally and externally
• Ability to apply statistical expertise to complex problems, problem solving and quality focus

Desirable in the role, dependent on experience:

We are looking for curious, research based, organised, and enthusiastic graduate calibre candidate to embark on a career! This is a full-time permanent job opportunity with an in-depth 6-month training programme included.

Starting your training at the companies Shoreditch offices with the opportunity to then work remotely from across the UK.

You'll be working for an international firm specialising in tracing missing and unknown beneficiaries to unclaimed estates, property, and assets worldwide. The ideal candidate would come from a History or humanities research style background. Ideal for someone who enjoys finding the answers.

The successful candidates will show the following aptitudes: excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, the ability to cope under pressure and work autonomously. Often working with delicate situations, you will need to be empathetic and professional whilst being determined in see a case through to its completion.

With a starting salary if £25K per annum for the duration of training, upon graduating to a Research Associate you will receive a salary increase to £27K per annum. Key responsibilities

• Research records, both in-house and externally
• Provide effective and efficient administrative service, including scanning, photocopying and filing
• Assist Case Managers with written correspondence and report preparation

• Assist Case Managers with creating distribution schedules
• Undertake training and development as specified by the Line Manager
• Any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested
