This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division in the Damp & Mould Team, Fix 360 and provide a high quality repairs service to our customers.

If you would like to play a part in this talented and committed team, then it’s a great time to come and get involved as the team is growing and evolving, and we currently we have an additional requirement for two Maintenance Operatives to join our newly formed Damp & Mould team.
What will my working week look like?
You will live within your regional area of work and will ideally also be within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be responsible for providing a quality repairs service to our customers, travelling to designated properties, undertaking, and completing all aspects of plastering repair work
As a member of our reactive maintenance and repairs team, you will carry out roofing work on maintenance, major and minor construction works, for both void and tenanted properties owned by Your Housing Group. You will be confident and capable, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.
And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
To be a successful a Maintenance Operative here at YHG, ideally…
- You will have a full UK Driving License (ideally no more than 6 points)
- You will be experienced in patching, painting, internal and external maintenance works and minor repairs as well as mould treatment.
- You will have experience working within the social housing industry
- You will have basic health and safety knowledge in a repair’s environment

This role also offers genuine progression opportunities, many of our operatives go on to gain further qualifications or take up team leader, supervisory or secondment roles internally when they arise.
