[What the role is]
The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) is the internationally recognised training arm of the CAAS. It is undergoing a transformation of programmes, to meet the evolving needs of adult learners and cater to the next generation of aviation professionals.
[What you will be working on]
Reporting to the Head of School of Aviation Safety and Security, you will oversee the development and review, and the conduct of training programmes (including curriculum) to meet CAAS, local and international trainees’ needs. This includes engaging both local and international partners for needs assessment, and proposing relevant training programmes and infusing interactive learning methods and technology to meet the current and future needs of the industry. You will conduct systematic review and evaluation of programmes and conduct benchmarking exercises to ensure the highest quality of training. You will also have opportunities to organise safety and security seminar, workshops and other events. You will support the continuous development of the teaching talent pool to meet the required training standards and demand. In addition, you will be responsible for the smooth operations, administration, planning and budgeting of the School.
[What we are looking for]
• At least 5 years of working experience in the aviation industry, preferably with 1 to 2 years of teaching or instructing experience
• Good knowledge on any specialised topic(s) in aviation safety or security. Knowledge of aviation safety or security regulatory requirements will be a bonus.
• Experienced in course management will be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player, self-motivated, results-oriented
* Note: SAA is located at 1 Aviation Drive, Singapore 499867 (near Changi Village). Between April 2024 – early 2026, SAA will be undergoing renovations and will be temporarily located in Changi Airport Terminal 2.
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
