Working as part of the highly skilled Survival Equipment Team, the Trainee Engineer will be responsible for undertaking inspection & scheduled maintenance work, repair and testing of a wide range of ejection seats and related survival equipment. • Where changes are necessary provide feedback to Production Engineering by completing a Program Prove Out Improvement Request when CNC Programs / Tooling / Set Up Sheets need correcting or can be improved.

• Multi manning is expected when machinery and suitable product types enables you to do so.

• Support the work of the company apprenticeship programme through support with their on-the-job learning.

• Ensuring Non-Conforming parts are reported immediately, with root cause established and documented and pasted to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

• Perform any other duty as requested by the Production Supervisor or Machine Shop Chargehand to ensure the objectives of the company and the expectations of the customer are met.

• Full indentured apprenticeship or relevant knowledge & experience highlighted on CV.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive Sheet Metal and Fabrication experience
• Worked with various metals.
• To work with thin gauge sheet metal
• Reliable, Hardworking, Accurate
• Attention to detail, All-rounder.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to work to tight tolerances.
• Able to hit the ground running.
• Able to work under minimum supervision.
• Good knowledge of various manufacturing processes - Drilling, Grinding, Punching, Brake Press, Guillotine etc
• Good communication skills
• Good understanding of Health & Safety at work

Desirable not essential:

• CSCS or other skills cards (Not essential but desirable)
• Abrasive wheels training
• Forklift truck license.
• First Aid certification

Vacancy – SSSTS Site Supervisor (Engineering)

We are looking for a SSSTS Working Supervisor for our client. This is an exciting and varied role. You will hold a Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme accreditation within the last 5 years. You will be the main supervisor on site leading your team but will lead from the front installing pipework and steelwork on site mainly in the water industry.

Responsibilities:

• Vast experience of site work (UK based)
• Water works experience clean & dirty.
• Pipework experience – PVC, Ductile, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel.
• Steel work experience – Structural, Access Platforms, Handrailing.
• Able to read drawings.
• Prepared to work away.

• SSSTS
• Training cards. IPAF, MEWP Confined Space
