Qualifications & Experience

● Five to 10 years’ PR agency experience managing clients and engaging in business development, preferably in B2B, technology, and finance industries

● A wide range of tier-1 business and trade media contacts

What You Would Get To Do:

The Director of Event Services will be responsible for the Event Production and Event Management teams service delivery in the APAC region. The role will ensure effective team resourcing, aligning procedures and processes, and utilize highly effective communication skills with the immediate team and management within FIRST & our client stakeholders. The ideal candidate will motivate colleagues in a way that enhances working relationships, develops a team-based approach to situations and encapsulates the FIRST brand, working as an implanted team member for a well-known Fortune 500 technology company. This role will be based in Singapore and oversee both Singapore and Sydney based teams & services and work globally with leaders based in New York and London.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical & production experience in the event industry, as well as knowledge of event management holistically, who can assume a senior management role within an organisation.

Your Contributions

Client Management

• Act as a point of contact for account- including management of relationships with key senior level clients
• Identify new and alternative ways of approaching FIRST’s service offering to clients by collecting feedback, identifying trends and implementing change
• Develop a strategy for growth and ensure FIRST is seen to be -a strategic advisor, providing proactive (or forward-thinking) guidance and direction
• Partner with leadership and delivery teams to conduct quarterly account reviews with account leadership and client stakeholders

Modernise internal communication

• Establish Communication as a strategic and commercial function that is a trusted, strategic counsel to the business stakeholders. 
• Develop proactive and creative internal communication campaigns that inform, engage and inspire employees based on key business and culture themes.  
• Lead the development and execution of the strategy and content development for Asia Pacific-wide dynamic digital communication channels which may include newsletters, Insite, digital signage and Engage (when introduced).
• Develop and implement best practice communication principles, including embedding robust analytics and measurement processes into communications strategies. Analyze and share relevant metrics to stakeholders to demonstrate impact, effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement.
• Ensure that communications are delivered in a way that is timely, accurate and on brand and aligned with the company purpose, strategy, and culture.
• Develop the regional strategy to drive adoption of and engagement with Visa’s new internal social networking tool.
• Partner with colleagues across the Communications organization, at global, regional and market levels, to ensure message alignment and to generate agenda and content ideas.
• Localise global internal communication campaigns and drive the development of regional internal campaigns that drive adoption and consistent delivery of key messaging and concept.
• Partner with colleagues across the Asia Pacific Communications organization to provide strategic counsel on effective internal communication tactics to boost understanding and engagement on business strategy and regional priorities, including for product, innovation, and B2B content.
• Equip market communication leads with the necessary support and materials to amplify and bolster awareness of global and regional internal communication campaigns within their markets.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business.

Bloomberg Media is seeking a high-caliber Media Research & Insights Director to join our Media Advertising Sales team based in Asia Pacific. In this role, you will oversee and handle research and analytics projects with the core objective to drive media revenues, develop multiplatform media targeting solutions. You are a strategic thinker who will work closely with team leaders across sales, ideation, marketing, campaign planning and productions to create ideas and drive revenues. You enjoy storytelling with data, presenting internally and externally and collaborating across the globe.

We'll trust you to:

• Drive audience insights and sales revenue using qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• Work closely with cross functional teams to drive campaign performance insights
• Collate, manage database, and analyze consumer and audience data from various sources to compile sales presentations and competitive analytical reports
• Consult cross-departmentally with client solutions, marketing, campaign planning, and creative teams to help develop innovative campaign strategies and sales materials, newsletters, category sector presentations, etc.
• Oversee market research vendors, manage on-going relationships, and identify strategic partnership opportunities to optimize ROI
• Enhance current reporting tools and formats with data visualization
• Represent the voice of the APAC region by working collaboratively with Global Data Science & Insights team

You'll need to have:

• At least 8 years of experience in audience data science & insights across APAC markets e.g. Customer insights & analytics, media effectiveness & measurement
• Experience in an international media company, advertising/media agency or market research company focusing on media research
• Demonstrated experience in cross media measurement using various sources including but not limited to publisher's first-party data, Ipsos surveys, Google Analytics, Comscore as well as other secondary sources
• Extensive experience in reporting research findings to internal stakeholders and external clients including the ability to present the results of analytic efforts to a non-data savvy audience
• Excellent Powerpoint, Excel and MS Office skills
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
