We’re looking for a versatile General Maintenance Technician to help keep our park in top shape, creating a comfortable and worry-free stay for our guests. From minor repairs to regular upkeep, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our park’s facilities, ensuring a fantastic experience for our guests! 

Key Responsibilities   
- Carry out regular inspections and maintenance tasks on park facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, and general upkeep. 
- Address minor repairs promptly, diagnose problems and provide effective solutions to keep our facilities running smoothly. 
- Conduct routine checks on key facilities and equipment to prevent issues and maintain a safe environment. 
- Respond to any maintenance requests from guests, owners or team with a friendly and professional approach. 
- Work closely with the wider maintenance team to provide seamless, high-quality service across the park. 
- Keep detailed records and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.  

Requirements    
- Practical experience in General Maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.) is essential; qualifications in any related trade are a plus! 
- Previous experience working on holiday homes (preferred, but not essential).   
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.   
- Strong attention to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant workplace. 
- Full UK Driving License preferred.

4. Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative who evaluates the Quality Management System, ensuring that all contractual, regulatory, and administrative requirements are met.

a. Develops and implements procedures and policies that ensure a successful COR surveillance program and clarifies and explains policy and regulatory material.

b. Develops and implements a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) based on the contractor's Quality Management System, Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), and Statement of Work (SOW).

Reports on contractor performance and provides sufficient data on which to base renewal/termination decisions. Conducts COR surveillance of contractor performance and compliance with contract provisions or regulatory requirements. Works with flight chiefs, work center leaders, and contract specialists in reviews of contract discrepancy reports and contractor responses.

d. Evaluates trends and assists in determining circumstances, precedents, contract provisions, governmental directives, and precedent setting Comptroller General Decisions. Spot checks contractor and contract oversight files to verify functional area reports, corrects problems, and institutes procedures to preclude recurrence, e.g., to revise ineffective surveillance plans, contract administration plans, inspection checklists, etc.

e. Maintains the organization's inputs into the DoD Contracting Officer Representative Tracking Tool. Maintains a record of all COR designations and terminations of designations, to include each COR's acknowledgement of his or her duties, by contract number and contracting officer's name. Maintains a record of training regardless of provider (e.g. Quality Assurance Program Coordinator (QAPC), contracting officer, contract specialist, DAU, or commercial training provider).

Summary of Duties: 

Performs work in at least two of the following trades in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related fixtures and utilities:

Plumbing: Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution systems, and water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers. Works from building plans, blueprints and sketches.

Carpentry: Uses skilled techniques to construct, install, repair, and modify wood and wood substitute structures and items requiring close tolerance fit and structural soundness. Assembles items using a variety of joining techniques and are skilled in the operation of general and precision carpentry and wood working equipment and are able to produce finished products with precise fits, accurate dimensions and acceptable appearance.

Inspects buildings and structures to determine nature and extent of repairs required. Performs minor repairs on existing structures and furnishings. Replaces trim and baseboards and broken, discolored, or missing acoustical ceiling tile, window screens, and other damaged components. Repairs sticking doors/windows and replaces weather stripping, adjusts loose hinges, repairs faulty door locks. Inspects for plumbing and electrical repairs, responds to work orders, and locates and makes repairs to plumbing. Performs Quarterly check with CE for tracking of work orders. Ensures maintenance issues are not closed prior to satisfactory work. Manages and blocks rooms in Defense Lodging System. Acts as Safety Representative for the lodging operation. Conducts walk through of facilities and grounds to include the lodging playground and pavilions, tracks and ensures annual maintenance of fire extinguishers. Ensures correction of existing hazards and monitors discrepancies to completion. Answers safety reports and maintains reports and answers for five years. Ensures vehicles are checked daily, proper documentation is conducted, and minor maintenance and upkeep is performed including replacing batteries and maintaining fluids. Schedules vehicles for maintenance through the lodging Vehicle Control Officer (VCO). Be able to drive various vehicles to include forklifts and large utility vehicles. Ensures all Lodging Checklist items are properly documented and maintained.
