The Student Intern will perform the following:

• Preparing letters of commendation, letters of appreciation, and awards. Preparing a variety of narrative and statistical information, correspondence, reports, etc., in final form for supervisor's signature.
• Reviewing all signatory documents received in the office. Reviewing all outgoing correspondence for proper format, grammar, typographical accuracy, proper coordination, attachments, and compliance with supervisor's viewpoint.
• Performing receipt inventory monthly and annually or all required to meet regulatory requirement and tracks all requests for information.
• Researching and obtaining background information for required actions through available tools such as automated databases, historical files, and review of previous or current studies/projects on related topics.

This Master Transportation Security Officer - Security Training Instructor position is located at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performing training instruction within established guidelines and standards in support of nationally developed training programs (e.g., new hire training, On-Screen Alarm Resolution Protocol, Crossover); supporting recurrent training needs, and conducting return to duty and remediation training.

This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at John Wayne Airport (SNA), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level. You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing input to supervisors and managers concerning a variety of human resources matters including, but not limited to, employee performance, promotions, reassignments, awards, etc.

As a Public Affairs Specialist (Stakeholder Engagement Liaison) within the Western Ecological Research Center, some of your specific duties will include:

• Communicating with USGS leadership on a weekly basis by crafting and providing non-technical summaries of research products, upcoming publications, events, and media coverage of all scientists within the Western Ecological Research Center.
• Developing opportunities to educate the public as to the mission, current scientific biological research, and accomplishments at professional conferences, primary/secondary school engagement, and other educational outreach.
