Applications are invited from candidates interested in supporting a child with social, emotional and mental health needs and/or autism (while also working with others as a Learning Support Assistant).
The post consists of the following responsibilities:
Monday to Friday; 6.5 hours each day with children with additional needs in KS2
Required ASAP, the Governors of this forward-thinking school are looking to appoint a flexible and hardworking Learning Support Assistant. The role involves working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and/or autism who requires additional support relating to an Educational, Health and Care Plan. Your employment will be for a fixed term to assist a child with special educational needs and will end when the child ceases to attend the school or should the funding to support the child come to an end. St Thomas’s is a popular, Church of England Primary school with growing numbers. We are looking for an efficient, skilled and self-motivated person to provide support to a child in KS2 and also to work with colleagues giving general support around our school.

The successful candidate will be supported and have access to high quality professional development and ideally be skilled in working with children with special needs especially physical and sensory difficulties.
