The Advanced Level Medical Support Assistant (MSA) serves as a Clinic Clerk and is a foundational role within the Radiology Service Team to include all interdisciplinary clinics and call centers that support the initiative as well as the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The primary duties of the Medical Support Assistant (Advanced) may include but are not limited to:
- Performs receptionist and customer service duties
- Maintains appointment schedules for one or more outpatient clinics
- Assists with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, locations and dates
- Coordinates information between the professional staff and patients
- Updates and verifies demographic information
- Schedules appointments
- Collects Insurance information
- Manages consultation requests and electronic waitlist
- Notifies patients of scheduled appointments
- Abides by federal privacy and confidentiality regulations
- Assures quality assurance/performance improvement administrative functions are carried out
- Screens/receives phone calls in a courteous and timely manner
- Determines the nature of requests and provides information
- Participates in daily team huddles and weekly team meetings
- Assists with the Beneficiary Travel Program or with Health Benefits Office
Work Schedule: Typical hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm CST; Hours will be clarified during the interview.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases
