Assistant Manager/Manager, Finance
Our client is seeking a professional to serve as a Finance Business Partner. The role involves providing strategic support to management and budget holders by proactively monitoring financial activities, managing financial reporting specific to the organization, and clearly communicating analysis results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily financial operations, managing budget expenditure, revenue collection, and financial reporting.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, ensuring all budget movements are coordinated and submitted on time.
- Engage in strategic meetings and budget planning, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Analyze financial positions and funding statuses, offering insights and recommendations for periodic reports to aid decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial performance reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Providing financial guidance, facilitating budget allocation, and ensuring financial stability.
- Work with budget owners to manage grants/funds, address issues proactively, and ensure optimal fund utilization.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with grant terms and conditions, oversee grant claim preparation and submission, and handle audit requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and central teams during financial year-end and grant closing activities to ensure accurate transaction recording and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax filing matters, including GST, withholding tax, and taxable benefits.
- Perform Risk Control Matrix (RCM) testing, address anomalies, and secure certification sign-off before year-end.
- Liaise with internal auditors and oversee annual fixed assets verification, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, provide finance policy updates, and streamline financial processes.
- Participate in projects, system implementations, and other assignments as directed, and handle ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/ACCA or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience Financial Operations and/or Finance Business Partnering
- Proficiency in interacting with users to understand and document business and functional requirements.
- Experience with grant budgets and financial compliance is advantageous.
- Auditors are welcome to apply.
- Strong stakeholder management, organization, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in accounting standards, MS Office, and SAP.
- Strong analytical, strong communication, and organizational skills.
