Serves as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor Program Manager, RCS Vet Center Director (VCD) and is responsible for the professional and administrative supervision and oversight of all readjustment counseling, outreach, referrals and follow-up care coordination services provided to eligible individuals within the designated Vet Center Service Area (VSA).

The successful candidate, as part of the Divisional Triumvirate, will work closely with the Chief Nurse, senior nursing and midwifery colleagues, Clinical Directors and external partners as a visible leader for midwifery and paediatric nursing across the Trust. They are responsible for all matters relating to the national and local agenda for midwifery, gynaecology and paediatric nursing. The post holder will support the Trust on all aspects of professional practice relating to Women's services and provide professional advice directly about maternity related matters and strategic development of services. The role has a considerable external focus working in partnership with other services across the ICS, regional and national teams, Care Quality Commission, the regional chief midwife, the royal colleges and other key stake holders. The Specialist Medicine Directorate comprises of Dermatology, Clinical Immunology, Sexual Health, Clinical Genetics, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases and Diabetes and Endocrine.

In conjunction with the Directorate General Manager (DGM), Clinical Director and Matrons the Deputy Directorate General Managers will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational service objectives and standards and will contribute to shaping the future healthcare across the local economy.

Each Deputy DGM is responsible for working with the DGM to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Clinical Directorate and delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within the Clinical Directorate and line managing appropriate staff within designated clinical units.

The post holders are key members of the Clinical Directorate leadership team, and will develop and implement Directorate plans to secure the agreed objectives for the Clinical Directorate and make a positive contribution to delivery of health care across the local health community.
