Our client is on the lookout for a skilled Finance Systems Manager to become a part of our Finance Department at the head office. They are in the midst of transitioning our Website OMS system from Elucid to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Despite this change, all finance reporting will continue with our existing system, Microsoft Navision. The Finance Systems Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial elements within system updates and upgrades, driving the current OMS project to successful completion.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the go-to expert for advising on the finance elements of the new OMS system, ensuring delivery of high-quality service.
• Implement governance and enhance controls for system-based financial transactions.
• Analyze data and user feedback to aid the project leadership in making informed decisions on system development.
• Review and approve testing scenarios to ensure compliance with financial requirements.
• Identify and solve potential issues, offering solutions to challenges faced by the Finance team.
• Conduct finance testing to verify correct data flow into the chart of accounts and ensure timely integration with payment platforms.
• Lead the coordination and management of incidents and change requests related to finance.
• Create metrics to track and report on finance system defects and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align needs and expectations with project milestones for smooth implementations.
• Maintain close communication with business stakeholders to align finance processes with business requirements.
• Oversee the testing of custom reports developed for the Finance department, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Develop and provide training materials for the Finance team to ensure effective use of new systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Proficient in finance functions and systems.
• Proven track record of implementing finance systems, with a deep understanding of financial accounting principles, month-end processes, and finance operations.
• Experience in managing enhancements or upgrades, including writing/agreeing on functional specifications and overseeing the change/development stages through to testing and release.
• Skilled in testing and adapting processes to meet Finance requirements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions to implement new systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to anticipate potential issues and devise contingency plans.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

This position involves both the comprehensive management of existing commercial relationships as well as soliciting new business opportunities with assigned customers and targeted prospects. Summary of Role:

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Finance will partner with Supply Chain Management to extract hidden competitive advantages in the company’s sourcing, procurement, logistics and distribution chain. This vital, patient-centered role provides education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options. This position helps patients understand their insurance options and make informed employment and insurance decisions. The Insurance Counselor will help alleviate the stress that dialysis patients often experience in navigating complicated insurance options and employment decisions while also managing their healthcare needs. 

To be successful, the Insurance Counselor must have a passion for customer service and the ability to build trust and rapport with patients and teammates. Teammates in this role will gain expertise in motivational interviewing as well as expert knowledge of commercial and government health insurance benefits, financial assistance programs, and work leave options.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. The scope of the Insurance Counselor is primarily supporting patients who have existing commercial insurance coverage or who are uninsured.

• Conducts patient insurance education while operating within established compliance parameters of the company
• Identifies and effectively communicates opportunities to better the insurance status of the patient to help reduce or alleviate financial risk and burden
• Provides information to patients to help them find and/or secure options for insurance coverage and other financial assistance programs as necessary
• Provides a high-level of customer service to patients across multiple DaVita Dialysis facilities to ensure educational needs are met and to ensure patient questions or issues are addressed effectively
• Completes insurance assessments/evaluations for patients to accurately document patient education sessions
• Acts as a liaison between patients, facility teammates, billing office and the corporate office to resolve patient insurance issues and/or concerns
• Builds and maintains relationships with field partners (e.g. Home Program Departments, Facility Administrators, Social Workers, Administrative Assistants etc.) to ensure seamless patient support
• Works closely with supervisor/manager to meet objectives, deadlines, and reporting/measurement requirements as they pertain to patient education.
• Provides monthly reporting and analysis on key metrics related to patient education and advocacy as well as actively participates in monthly operations reviews on assigned patient portfolio
• Seeks to find opportunities for continued process improvement and reviews ideas with team and operational leadership
• Attends team meetings, phone conferences, and trainings as needed; may assist with onboarding and training of new teammates or other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS

CLASS DESCRIPTION

The Baltimore City Department of Finance (DOF) is currently seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracting Operations Manager who possesses strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Operations Manager I encompass managerial work related to the administration of departmental policy and overseeing or coordinating agency operations. Employees engaged in overseeing or coordinating agency operations are responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, administering and supervising the interpretation and application of agency policies, directives and procedures designed to accomplish the mission of the agency. Work of this class will involve supervising professional and technical support workers.

This position manages the entire procurement operations of the Bureau of Procurement. The Operations Manager I serve in a management and leadership role in the Bureau of Procurement. This position plays a key role in contributing to the development and achievements relating to Bureau of Procurement Strategic Planning.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

AND
 

EXPERIENCE: 10 years of procurement experience to include 5 years of supervisory experience.

OR

NOTES(EQUIVALENCIES): A master’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Management, or related field from an accredited college or university; 8 years of progressively increasing responsibilities; 4 years of experience managing homogeneous functions.

OR

Juris Doctor from an accredited school of law; 5 years of procurement experience; 5 years of supervisory experience.

OR

CPPO designation and five years of experience within the previous ten years to include 3 years of supervisory experience.  A minimum of 50% of the required years of experience must be in government or public sector.

Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) preferred.

Line of Business Overview

The US Diversified group within the Corporate Bank underwrites and manages the firm’s large corporate (public and private) syndicated loan portfolio across Industrials, FC&R, Technology and Business Services sectors.  The team supports both our product and coverage partners by allocating capital to revolver, term loans, and ancillary business products. The team is responsible for all aspects of underwriting and manages the credit and Corporate Banking coverage (i.e. relationship management) post deal closing.

Job description

The Analyst will serve as a key member of the deal team in the underwriting, credit approval, and portfolio management; supporting the deal team by analyzing financial and operating data for trends in financial performance of companies and industries.  The Analyst will be involved in the initial screening of transactions, due diligence, credit approval, and negotiation of legal documentation. The Analyst will help assess BMO’s hold appetite across revolvers and term loans. Experienced Analysts will participate in client pitches to help support cross-selling opportunities for hedging and other traditional corporate banking products.

Primary Function and Responsibilities

New Underwritings

• Use independent critical thinking skills to analyze historical financial performance, create Base/Stress case financial projection models, develop risks and mitigants, business strengths, and credit rationale for completing a transaction
• Work across groups to compile diligence lists and lead diligence calls with company management teams and other lenders
• Complete risk / return models for new deals
• Collaborate with colleagues on different teams (Leveraged Finance, Investment Banking Industry Coverage, Ancillary Product groups) on materials for committee meetings attended by senior leaders across the bank
• Address questions from the Investment Committee and Credit team to support new transactions

Portfolio Management

• Review and monitor Borrowers’ financial statements for potential changes which may affect the Borrower’s performance through detailed review of quarterly financial statements, participation in quarterly lender calls, and ongoing dialogue with management teams
• Prepare concise credit analysis and other correspondence on a quarterly basis for certain Borrowers, and on an annual basis for all Borrowers
• Assess Borrowers’ internal risk rating on a regular basis based on their financial performance and changes to the qualitative aspects of the business
• Evaluate opportunities for new business (ancillary products such as FX and interest rate hedging and cash management) with existing Borrowers
• Conduct analysis and comprehensive review of industry trends and comparable transactions in the industry

Relationship Management

• Assist in the preparation of pitch materials for client meetings and cross-sell of corporate banking products
• Experienced analysts will participate in client pitches to help support cross-selling opportunities for hedging and other traditional corporate banking products

Education/Professional Experience

• An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and an outstanding academic achievement
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience within investment banking, corporate banking, corporate credit, commercial banking or capital markets
• Completion of a financial analysis credit training program preferable

Skills:

• Excellent analytical skills pertaining to business, financial, and credit analysis
• Skilled in building complex three-statement financial models
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, notably MS Excel
• Ability to be creative, insightful and resourceful in performance of duties
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment
• Strong ability to attentively review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner

The expected base salary for this role is $90,000- 105,000 USD.
