Duties

1. As the Fitness Center Technical Advisor, plans, develops, organizes, manages, and oversees a diverse and comprehensive physical fitness and sports programs which include group exercise classes, self-directed fitness and sports programs, mcent1ve programs, special events, intramural, extramural, and varsity sports, and instructional programs
2. Develops, implements, monitors, and documents a comprehensive training program to ensure all staff members possess the necessary skills and knowledge for their position
3. Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of day-to-day operations of the Altus AFB Fitness Center. Serves as desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment and adhere to Fitness Center Policy. Greets visitors, answers telephone, makes reservations for classes or use of the equipment and facilities, and provides information on scheduled events and classes. Provides assistance and basic instruction to patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and equipment. Issues sports equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Inspects returned equipment noting damage. Inspects all equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor. Conducts minor repairs when necessary. Plans, coordinates, and manages all administrative, operational, and fiscal aspects of Fitness Center facility as assigned by the Fitness and Sports director. Performs all personnel management functions for assigned facility. Develops plans, procedures, goals and objectives in support of the Aerospace Medicine and Force Health Management Programs using an extensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD), Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), United States Air Force (USAF) and Air National Guard (ANG) directives, policies and standards. Programs include physical examinations and standards, flight medicine and related aero medical and force health management concerns. Interprets directives and applies standards to determine worldwide deployability of personnel.
