The Director, Supply Chain Design and Execution – Medical Distribution will report to the VP, Supply Chain Flow and Strategy – Medical Distribution. This position leads the Supply Chain Design and Execution team; focused on ensuring our distribution network can support future growth while driving best-in-class service at an optimal cost across the U.S. Medical supply chain. With approximately $1 Billion in U.S. supply chain costs, this individual will partner with Operations and Commercial teams and use data-driven analysis, strategic thinking, initiative ideation & prioritization, and project management skills to identify current supply chain capacity and capability gaps and deploy solutions to improve end-to-end flow of product through the supply chain.  This individual must have experience driving end-to-end solutions and managing analytical teams in one or more critical supply chain functions (e.g., transportation, distribution, replenishment, network design, Capital planning, deployment, etc.).  Ideal candidate will also have experience across different industries, allowing him/her to draw upon and implement best practices. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead multiple strategic projects as well as a team of highly talented Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.

Key duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: developing short and long range distribution network design strategy, capital planning and deployment, service level improvement, velocity / cycle time improvement, supplier and customer JPIs, cost optimization, and KPI/metric development. Must possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with multiple levels and functions within the broader organization. Periodic travel in support of project implementation and customer visits may be required.

Accountabilities

• Provides thought leadership, informs supply chain strategy, and leads network design and capital deployment functions
• Identifies and removes friction points throughout the Medical supply chain, while driving new capabilities that allow for over-achievement of customer expectations and business objectives
• Design end-to-end supply chain product flow concepts that, where applicable, leverage the broader Cardinal Health volume, systems, scale, and partnerships, while providing the Medical Segment with consistently higher levels of service
• Multi-echelon capacity and throughput planning that optimizes service level and cost, given building capacities, product availability, labor/staffing schedule, transportation, customer delivery schedules, etc.
• Works to identify and unlock capacity and throughput constraints across the supply chain through short-term projects/initiatives and medium-term investments
• Leads 3-5 year capacity, capability, and capital strategy planning and deployment – ensuring Medical distribution can meet future demand, with optimized efficiencies across the value chain
• Present recommendations to address capability gaps and various supply chain constraints that will impact supply chain execution – developing and coordinating mitigation / resolution steps
• Leverages LEAN/Six Sigma concepts to reduce process waste and drives end-to-end cost reductions and process efficiencies
• Champions innovation, simplification, and standardization of current solution offerings, operating procedures, methodologies, and processes
   

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of proven supply chain experience across multiple industries and functions preferred
• 5-7 years of experience leading both analytical and operations teams preferred
• Experience leading development of large scale, 3-5 year strategy – communicating across key stakeholders and gaining buy-in
• LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
• Working knowledge of Llamasoft suite of modeling tools preferred
• Ability to navigate a matrixed work environment, partnering with stakeholders across various functions to deliver operational and financial commitments

Intern - Public Art & Building History Researcher/Archivist

                     Part-Time 20-30 hrs./wk.       Salary $ 15.00/hr.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

The Baltimore Convention Center wishes to research and then produce thorough documentation surrounding its public art collection. This will include reviewing archival documentation, researching artists and their works, interviewing pertinent stakeholders, and producing documents that will be used to create content for the organization’s website and self-guided tours.

Additionally, as the Convention Center will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2029, the Intern will start to identify historic photos and documents from within the city and agency archives and propose a list of assets that should be digitized in preparation for a retrospective.

Interns at the Baltimore Convention Center are hired with a specific set of tasks or project in mind.  The goal is to create meaningful job experiences for the student while providing the agency tangible outcomes that leave lasting impact.  The position will work closely with all departments, as well as relevant entities to further the assigned work such as the Baltimore City Archives and the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts

The Intern is a part-time hourly position that will report to leadership within the Sales, Services, and Marketing Department.

Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek averaging 20-30 hours a week. The work of this position takes place in a predominantly seated work location but will require occasional walking, bending, and lifting items no more than 50lbs. Occasional offsite visits to pertinent locations will be required, however a personal vehicle is not required.

Established in 2021, Brown Arts Institute (BAI) is a university-wide research enterprise and catalyst for the arts at Brown that creates new work and supports, amplifies, and adds new dimensions to the creative practices of Brown’s arts departments, faculty, students, and community. Through year-round programming, research-focused courses, initiatives, collaborations, and partnerships, along with rigorous artistic and academic programs, BAI commissions and presents new work on campus, across Providence, Rhode Island, and beyond, from students, faculty, and on-campus arts groups, as well as in collaboration with forward-focused visiting artists and other performing arts organizations.

The Director of Design and Production (DDP) reports to the Artistic Director and is responsible for ensuring that the overall design and execution of productions taking place in any existing or future BAI venues meets exemplary professional standards. The DDP must maintain the highest level knowledge of all BAI venue specifics, including all technical and safety requirements, and is responsible for working closely with all programmed artists, as well as internal and external designers, to ensure that projects - including BAI commissions and transfers from other venues -  are appropriately designed for BAI venues. The DDP creates technical budgets, calendars, and staffing plans in collaboration with the Artistic Director and Producing Director, and is also responsible for identifying, recruiting, and managing all technical staff assigned to the BAI and BAI venues.  An active participant in the engineering, planning and execution of designs for all productions, the DDP, when necessary, submits designs to shops or rental houses to solicit bids and manages fabrication or rentals to meet set, costume, lighting, sound, and projection needs. The DDP ensures that standards of safety are observed by serving as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) representative for the BAI. The DDP may play a direct role in instructing students by offering design and production classes at the discretion of the BAI Leadership, and provide mentorship for those engaged in the production-oriented aspects of BAI offerings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
●    Work with Artistic Director, Producing Director, Director of Programs and Operations, and internal and external teams to ensure all production and design needs of BAI produced events are met, are professionally managed, and are working within established budgets and BAI and University policies and procedures.
●    Recruit, train, and supervise a robust production staff including Technical Directors, Assistant Technical Directors, department supervisors, on-call-staff and student assistants as well as stage managers, carpenters, riggers, stagehands, electricians, wardrobe, lighting and sound programmers. 
●    Meet regularly with department heads and staff to ensure ideas are exchanged, responsibilities defined, staffing needs are discussed, budgets are completely outlined and understood, spending practices are appropriate; and morale is maintained. 
●    Ensure that staff complies with all health and safety guidelines.
 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

•  BA and 5-7 years in theatrical production, design, or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience including 4+ years in:

  • Production management

  • Design oversight

  • Budgeting and financial management

  • Operations management

  • Supervisory experience

Job Competencies

• Proven success in managing/designing multiple, simultaneous, large-scale artistic productions in a range of disciplines.

• Knowledge of and experience in a broad range of artistic practice including performing, experimental, and visual arts.

• Ability to think strategically, with an eye to long-term planning, coupled with an ability to be flexible as the needs of the BAI continue to evolve

• Proven success in budgeting and financial management.

• Demonstrated ability managing a diverse staff with a broad range of skills sets.

• Ability to interact with a broad range of individuals (faculty, administrators, artists & management, vendors, students).

• Ability to deliver programs that meet the mission and standards of the BAI, which can often be in conflict with the competing needs and demands from different constituencies.

• Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.

• Teaching experience preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask

An experienced, creative, and collaborative Director of Design and Production will play a pivotal role in the future success of the Brown Arts Institute. The DDP must enjoy collegial, collaborative relationships with the BAI Leadership Team, as well as its subordinate division leads. Open lines of communication are of the utmost importance, as the BAI programs are vast, complex, and often politically sensitive. This position requires a great deal of diplomacy, prioritization, compartmentalization, and multi-tasking, while taking care to maintain open and collaborative relationships with constituents throughout the University.

About the Role –

MCA/Risk Assessment/Control Design (AVP)

This report into Client – MCA/Risk Assessment/Control Design Team and will manage several critical control-related processes as well as support projects to build or enhance the businesses control framework.

This will primarily include the transformation and the ongoing coordination and management of the department’s MCA / RCSA, interaction with the Consent Order work streams and the development of the MCA Review and Challenge program.

The incumbent will be working closely with Client business units, Business Managers, ICG Control teams, as well as partner areas such as Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, Operations and Technology

Key Responsibilities –

• Lead components of the MCA transformation work as required by the Global Consent Order remediation program
• Ensure that Operational Risk Levels are within the defined parameters
• Maintain and enhance the department's Manager Control Assessment (MCA/RCSA) with regards to completeness and quality
• Lead MCA annual and quarterly review and challenge sessions
• Production of Risk and Control metrics for the Business Risk and Control Committee (BRCC)
• Development of MCA Risk and Control framework
• Collaborate with first and second line teams, as well as related partner areas to investigate and resolve control issues
• Represent Client at MCA governance forums and take ownership of submissions / follow-ups
• Provide support to partner areas and control functions on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. Compliance enquiries, Audit engagements)
• Actively partner with the Issue Management and Controls Testing teams to ensure that deficient processes and areas are covered, and to ensure that any findings are reflected appropriately

Qualifications and skills required –

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Financial Services in Business Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, and/or governance and control
• Proven experience in Risk Management, including monitoring and identification of risks within relevant department and enterprise organization
• Proven experience in independently handling enhancement projects and interacting with teams across all lines of defense
• Excellent presentation skills’ ability to present findings and adjust accordingly to appropriate audience
• Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Montgomery College, Art Department, is currently looking for female and male models for Figure classes (Figure Drawing, Figure Sculpture, and Figure Painting). 

Job Summary:

• Models will work during the academic semester. 
• Hours will vary depending on semester, course schedules and model availability.
• Hours are flexible. 6 to 24 hrs per week.
• Position is for modeling in “Life” classes only- nude models are used for 95% of the schedule.
• Models are critical and integral to our figure classes.
• We are looking for responsible employees with a professional attitude, who understand the importance of their work.   

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience working as an Art Model is preferred but not required.
• Female models of all ages and all body types are encouraged to apply.
