Product Support/Repair-Field and Depot is responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, diagnosing, analyzing and/or repairing products.

Job Summary

The Project Technician (PT) is an entry level position within the Optimization Services Consulting and Project Management Team. The PT is anticipated to be deployed to billable customer projects 80% of the year (approximately 40 weeks) and may travel up to 80% of the time in support of customer projects. A PT will perform tasks associated with improving customer’s inventory management practices. Projects will vary in length, from one week to greater than 12 months, and typically work is onsite at the customer locations Monday through Thursday weekly. A key requirement for this role is to implement projects in a way that creates a superior customer experience, starting with initial introductions through project completion. The Director, Supply Chain Design and Execution – Medical Distribution will report to the VP, Supply Chain Flow and Strategy – Medical Distribution. This position leads the Supply Chain Design and Execution team; focused on ensuring our distribution network can support future growth while driving best-in-class service at an optimal cost across the U.S. Medical supply chain. With approximately $1 Billion in U.S. supply chain costs, this individual will partner with Operations and Commercial teams and use data-driven analysis, strategic thinking, initiative ideation & prioritization, and project management skills to identify current supply chain capacity and capability gaps and deploy solutions to improve end-to-end flow of product through the supply chain.  This individual must have experience driving end-to-end solutions and managing analytical teams in one or more critical supply chain functions (e.g., transportation, distribution, replenishment, network design, Capital planning, deployment, etc.).  Ideal candidate will also have experience across different industries, allowing him/her to draw upon and implement best practices. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead multiple strategic projects as well as a team of highly talented Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.

Key duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: developing short and long range distribution network design strategy, capital planning and deployment, service level improvement, velocity / cycle time improvement, supplier and customer JPIs, cost optimization, and KPI/metric development. Accountabilities

• Identifies and removes friction points throughout the Medical supply chain, while driving new capabilities that allow for over-achievement of customer expectations and business objectives
• Design end-to-end supply chain product flow concepts that, where applicable, leverage the broader Cardinal Health volume, systems, scale, and partnerships, while providing the Medical Segment with consistently higher levels of service
• Multi-echelon capacity and throughput planning that optimizes service level and cost, given building capacities, product availability, labor/staffing schedule, transportation, customer delivery schedules, etc.
• Works to identify and unlock capacity and throughput constraints across the supply chain through short-term projects/initiatives and medium-term investments
• Leads 3-5 year capacity, capability, and capital strategy planning and deployment – ensuring Medical distribution can meet future demand, with optimized efficiencies across the value chain
• Present recommendations to address capability gaps and various supply chain constraints that will impact supply chain execution – developing and coordinating mitigation / resolution steps
• Leverages LEAN/Six Sigma concepts to reduce process waste and drives end-to-end cost reductions and process efficiencies
• Champions innovation, simplification, and standardization of current solution offerings, operating procedures, methodologies, and processes
   

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of proven supply chain experience across multiple industries and functions preferred
• 5-7 years of experience leading both analytical and operations teams preferred
• Experience leading development of large scale, 3-5 year strategy – communicating across key stakeholders and gaining buy-in
• LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
• Working knowledge of Llamasoft suite of modeling tools preferred
• Ability to navigate a matrixed work environment, partnering with stakeholders across various functions to deliver operational and financial commitments

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm or until the work is complete

• Receives inbound products from manufacturers and checks packing slips to ensure that the quantity of product matches the slips and the order placed. Enters and validates product data in the database and releases product for use in the facility.
• Develops forecasts of inventory based on customer demand, orders, and shipment speeds of various products and manufacturers.
• Places electronic orders based on inventory reporting and forecasting. Communicates with manufacturers as necessary to provide additional order information.
• Monitors inventory levels continually and runs reports from database to analyze slow-moving products, fast-moving products, and expiration date data.
• Evaluates quantity discrepancies and quality issues, such as damaged products and enters issues into database and contacts manufacturers to identify and resolve the issue and, as necessary, escalates the issue to the Manager, Warehouse Operations.
• Conducts regular cycle counts by developing count lists, providing lists and instruction to Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Associates and other staff, and collecting and validating the count data.
• Manages the storage and outbound logistics of product returns to manufacturers as well as quarantined products. Edits data in the system based on codes.

What Machine Operation contributes to Cardinal Health?

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Machine Operation sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to load bags for AeroMed kits, using computers to input information in order to create bags with correctly printed information for medical testing kits. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
 

Job Summary

The Operator 1, Machines Operations is responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of machines within the facility. The job will delegate replenishment duties to associates when needed along with following directions and ensuring the output quality of the product.

What Process Control and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Job Summary

The Associate I, Assembly plays a key role in the assembly process of products including the verification of components and compliance with quantity and quality standards. The Associate I, Assembly conducts quality inspections on the assembly line in accordance with quality specifications, reports defects and investigates the route cause. This job operates equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes. The Associate I, Assembly tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate processing standards.

Responsibilities

• Sets up workstations as directed by Captain/Designee while complying with all GMP’s, policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Assembles product packages per DHR, special instructions, and video imaging.
• Verifies components in the assembly process to ensure proper selection and that quality and quantity standards are met.
• Inspects components for debris, and or any other potential quality defect and reports defects as needed to management and the quality team.
• Performs duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the Company, Local, and State and Federal provisions.
• Complies with the NCI & Defect Investigation Form process to ensure proper management and resolution of quality issues.

Job Summary
The Assoc Warehouse Ops assists on Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards.  Inbound positions receive products into the facility and outbound ships products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
• Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
• Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.

Qualifications

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

We are open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience. If you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment you could be a great fit for our team. All training is provided starting your first day!

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
• Frequent standing/walking throughout shift (8+ hours)
• Regular reaching above shoulders/bending and Twisting
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Work on concrete floors, wearing steel toes boots up to 8-12 hours a day
• Able to work well independently or as a member of a team
• A self-starter, organized, detail oriented, analytical, motivated and a capable problem solver

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Good communication skills
• 1-2 years’ experience preferred but not required
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
