WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Emergency Management Specialist , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Provides technical assistance to federal, state, tribes, local, and territorial (STLT) partners in developing, maintaining, and enhancing all-hazards, operational plans, policies, and procedures.
- Engages in dialogue with key stakeholders to promote a unified approach to public health emergency preparedness, and national health security, and other policies addressing emerging threats.
- Designs and conducts comprehensive response and preparedness projects where the boundaries of the projects/studies are broad and difficult to determine in advance.
- Conducts and responds to incident response activities to include, but not limited to sizing up requirements for deployment of proper Federal resources to meet the needs of a jurisdiction requesting Federal assistance; drafting scopes of work and cost estimates for mission assignments during Stafford Act declarations; and collecting, analyzing, and sharing relevant operational information to assist in forecasting anticipated resource requirements.
