We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our motivated and enthusiastic team working on our Acute Medicine wards at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospitals. We are seeking applicants who are team players and enjoy the challenge of the acute setting. The Trust has invested significantly in our Medicine Team to support the reduction in deconditioning of patients within UHL.

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) is one of the largest and busiest NHS trusts in the country providing care for more than 1 million residents in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Therapy Service at UHL has a high profile within the Trust, this being reflected across our medical wards.

The Medicine therapy team are responsible for delivering a service across the medical wards at UHL, these are based at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital. The team treat a wide variety of patients including those with frailty, respiratory, falls, diabetes and Parkinsons.

You will be working alongside a large Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to enable early rehabilitation and timely discharges of patients. We are passionate about promoting independence and preventing deconditioning in the acute hospital.

You will demonstrate excellent communication, prioritisation and time management skills. This post will be suitable for a candidate who has a wide range of rotational experience, particularly with older people with a variety of comorbidities for example Parkinson's, falls and fractures. Established respiratory physiotherapy skills would be of significant benefit in this role.

You will join a supportive team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the Acute Medicine Team. You will receive regular supervision, appraisal and be encouraged to be involved in service development, audit and research. You will be expected to support and supervise other staff as well as provide practice placements for students.

The successful candidate would need to be flexible in their working as the service is provided over 7 days a week. The team are working to provide a collaborative approach to therapy across all systems.

Service Engineer (Field) role available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. You’ll enjoy a local field based role offering comprehensive on the job training, extensive benefits package and progression routes.

The Service Engineer (Field) role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. This is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

The company are a manufacturer of forklift trucks. Part of a team in the area, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Leicester. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired mostly in the week.

The Service Engineer (Field) Role in Brief:

*Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
*Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
*Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
*Spares placed in van overnight

The Person Required:

*Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
*Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
*Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject

Position: IT Teacher

Location: Leicester-based Secondary School.

You must have relevant experience working with 11 - 16-year-olds within the last 2 years, and we must be able to obtain relevant references for this time. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential.

Job Description:

• Delivering engaging and creative IT lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
• Participating in extracurricular activities such as school trips.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply
