Your new role
We are looking for social housing professionals to join the teams of these local authorities for a number of different positions. As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a responsive and customer-focused service to those affiliated with the local authority.

You will act as a Visiting Officer dealing with tenancy issues and low level matters of ASB, you will also ensure all Housing Schemes are administered appropriately and within legislative requirements. Providing expert advice in regard to the housing registration process to a range of stakeholders. Conducting investigations and ensuring decisions are made in compliance with relevant service policies and legislation, including helping to ensure nomination agreements are being administrated in full accordance with the terms agreed.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in these roles, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, a background in Social Housing - this could be a housing officer, neighbourhood officer, homelessness officer etc. You will need knowledge of Legislation and Part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act. These roles will be an ASAP start,. Before starting, you will need to pass your reference and compliance checks. Head of Enterprise Security Architecture

Location: UK / Hybrid - with some travel

National Highways have an exciting career opportunity to join us as Head of Security Architecture. Reporting directly into the Chief Security Officer you will oversee and lead the provision of security architecture services to change initiatives, aligning and coordinating with wider architecture governance functions to advise on and deliver a comprehensive enterprise (IT) and operational technology (OT) security architecture which reduces both the probability and impact of a cyber attack against to National Highways.

• Provide analysis and advising in regard to accounting programs, financial systems, business processes, and establishing and communicating Fiscal Service accounting policies and standards.
• Establish financial and management accounting and reporting requirements consistent with financial rules and regulations and advise accounting procedures and controls to ensure adherence.
• Oversee operations of the monthly management and financial accounting functions, ensuring that all accounting guidelines, regulations, and policies are met.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting matters and coordinate with the appropriate external and internal parties to set Fiscal Service's financial policy.

As an Accountant (Staff), you will:

• Assist in the planning and execution of highly specialized ARC programs in the field of
  government-wide accounting, cash management, agency accounting and reporting services.
• Develop project plans and ensures that all projects are properly documented and adequately controlled
• Perform analysis and evaluation of proposed initiatives to determine the impact to operations of the office and the bureau
• Develop proposals, issue papers, status reports, training plans, policy, procedural and other documentation as necessary to obtain understanding and decisions in conjunction with assigned projects
• Advise management on accounting matters pertaining to the accomplishment of the offices mission, related to providing accounting services to its customers and stakeholders

Starting at $103,409 Per Year (GS 13)

• Leads the team in identifying existing data resources, coordinating research areas and reviewing relevant legislation, regulations, SSA policies and other internal and external reports to accomplish project objectives.
• Develops comprehensive plans to accomplish complex and sensitive projects in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
• Distributes and balances workload among the team members in accordance with work flow, skill level or job specialization, making adjustments in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Trains or arranges for the training of team members as needed.
• Analyzes information gathered to evaluate compliance with program regulations, policies and procedures, to evaluate accomplishment of program goals and to assess the economy and efficiency of operations.
• Formulates findings by identifying the cause(s) of conditions and developing recommendations to address them.
• Prepares written reports, memos and other documents to summarize the results of reviews and to present recommendations. Develops special reports as projects progress when significant issues are identified that require immediate corrective action.
• Liaisons with SSA staff on program and operational issues and negotiates to gain acceptance of findings and the recommendations presented where differing points of view may be strongly held.
• Leads the team in identifying problem areas and researching and analyzing information that results in new project proposals which have a significant impact on SSA’s operations and/or save Agency funds in its programs and operations.
• Reviews completed work and written products to ensure that instructions, priorities, deadlines, and quality standards are met. Identifies work products that do not meet established standards, referring unusual situations to the Division Director.
