Your new role
This job role will be working on a full-time basis and will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a child in either KS1 or KS2. You will be responsible for learning the specific needs of the child and making sure you provide the correct support, to help push this child to reach their potential. You must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils as they work and work closely with the teacher to ensure that all work set is delivered and planned in line with pupil ability. You will need to be fully committed to the role and be ready to give it 100%.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children and ideally previously experience supporting SEN children. Even if you have limited experience, we want to hear from you. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic. You will need to be available to start in September and commit fully to the role.

Hays Education are currently working with a couple of great primary schools in the Chorley area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to start from September. These schools are a mixture of rated 'Outstanding' and 'Good' by Ofsted and the roles on offer are a mixture of short and long-term roles as well as daily supply roles.

Your new role
In this job role as Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers across either KS1 or KS2 and be expected to provide additional support. You will be helping the teachers to monitor progress and focus on phonics, maths, reading and writing. The role is to support children in their learning and behavioural needs, and you will play a massive role in their development and educational success. You should possess good communication skills and be able to build up relationships quickly with both pupils and staff.

What you'll need to succeed

Your new company
Hays have been approached by a number of secondary schools in the Chorley area that we have worked with for a number of years, who are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis. There has been a huge increase in demand, and we are now looking for individuals who hold Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications to work 5 days a week and provide consistent support for pupils who need the extra help.

Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils. This could either be working as a general classroom support or working on a 1:1 basis with pupils across KS3 and KS4. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for teaching assistants in the Chorley area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children. The school are also willing to consider individuals from other roles working with young adults, for example, support worker roles. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role. However, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role, but the school are looking for someone to come in with an open mind and commit to the role.
