Project Manager
As a Project Manager within our Project Management Office (PMO), you will be at the forefront of driving the successful delivery of projects that are critical to our organisation’s growth and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial planning and resource allocation to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also maintaining a strong focus on quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across various departments, including IT, to understand their needs and translate them into actionable project plans. Your ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams will be key to driving successful project outcomes that align with our strategic goals.
Your ability to navigate both Waterfall and Agile methodologies will be essential, as you will need to adapt your approach to suit the specific requirements of each project. Whether it’s a structured, sequential project or a more iterative, flexible initiative, you will be expected to manage risks, resolve issues, and adapt to changing circumstances to keep projects on track.
Reporting directly to the Head of PMO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our project delivery capabilities. Your leadership and expertise will not only contribute to the success of individual projects but also to the overall success of our organisation by ensuring that our projects deliver tangible value and drive long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities for our Project Manager:
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing risks and ensuring quality
Engage with stakeholders across departments, understanding their needs and ensuring their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. Manage expectations and communication to ensure alignment and satisfaction
Effectively manage project resources, including team members, budgets, and timelines. Ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and that the project remains on budget
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project. Resolve issues promptly and ensure that projects are not derailed by unforeseen challenges
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations. Ensure transparency and accountability in all project activities
Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence. Ensure that all team members are aligned with project goals and are working efficiently towards them
About you
Project Management Certification (e.g., AgilePM, PMP, PRINCE2) is essential for this role
Demonstrate strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in both technical and non-technical domains
Proficient in navigating both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies. Able to adapt and apply the most suitable approach based on project requirements, ensuring successful outcomes in various project environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and align diverse teams toward common objectives
Proficient in managing project resources and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial and time constraints
Strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and to resolve issues efficiently to keep projects on track
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments, demonstrating flexibility in managing evolving project challenges
Prior experience in project management or related fields, with a solid foundation in relevant practices and methodologies
