Being a Head Chef with Daish’s is slightly different to most kitchens within Hospitality. Our guests all eat at the same time, twice a day and choose from a set menu, so no more cooking to order! Batch cooking and organised delivery is the name of the game! Breakfast is served at 8.30am daily and dinner is sent out at 6.30pm, with the aim to have the whole restaurant served within 45 mins. Preparation is key to success which is why we provide you with a comprehensive support system via our Group Operations Kitchen Manager and a Menu guide and dedicated suppliers! Running a kitchen with Daish’s is a breeze!

Skills and Qualities you can add to the Mix!:

Controlling and directing the food preparation process and other relative activities, by leading and developing your team in the department
Able to work within the budget constraints of the relevant season, leading to good cost control per head
Oversee or carry out stock replenishment for the department.
Carry out monthly stock check counts and submit to the accounts office for cost per head calculations.
Be aware of your spend cost per head
Maintain all required legislative records such as the SFBB log, and labelling systems so that internal and external inspections can be carried out at any time.
Maintain at least a 4 in an external local authority health inspection and also keep this standard for internal interval checks
Current Hygiene Certificate of Level 3 if you do not have this, we will provide the course for you.
Ability to manage tasks and responsibilities across the full spectrum of the kitchen operation
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
A good working knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

Working knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to kitchen working environments

Our dining rooms operate a tad different to a typical restaurant, with the exception of arrival day, you will always have a preorder for your tables for dinner. So no more cook to order, everything is ready to go bang on 18.30 when our eager guests arrive!

The role of the Night Porter is generally about the security of the building while most of our guests are asleep. A friendly, welcoming and efficient service from our reception is our aim and you will continue the good work carried out by the daytime receptionists.

Qualities and skills you can bring to the night shift:

Undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a superb customer service experience
Ensure the security of the building is maintained through the quite hours, as directed by the hotel management. Usually done by regular walk rounds and recording the action in a log.
To deal with guest requests to assist in a comfortable stay
To be aware of your hours worked (17 week average rule)
Be fully conversant with the procedures in case of an emergency. This will cover the procedure for guests being taken ill, fire safety and procedure, and also for yourself working alone.

Skills and capabilities to bring to the role:

Previous experience within the leisure or tourism industry.
A drive and passion for the holiday industry and customer service.
Demonstrate an ability to manage and motivate a dedicated team to deliver our core values
Adaptability is key as the role has a wide range of responsibilities and you’ll need to be as comfortable at calling Bingo as you will compliance and budgeting.
Previous experience of managing and working within budgets
Maintenance and capital investment planning to improve the product
Ability to handle HR issues in line with company policy
You’ll be hands on with a ‘can do’ attitude as you’ll be expected to lead from the front.
General Managers are the face of each Hotel, and are responsible for ensuring the delivery of our core values; clean and comfortable en-suite accommodation, good food, great live nightly entertainment and first class friendly customer service. You will be able to relate and manage procedures at the front end delivery into coordinated back of house processes, to ensure a smoother guest experience, and enhance our brand and revenue.

You’ll assume full responsibility for the running of the hotel including close monitoring and controls on cost to ensure hitting P&L targets, and managing the staff team to ensure the hotels smooth operation, and full compliance responsibility.

Skills and attributes you will bring to the chopping board:

To undertake all aspects of cleaning of equipment, walls, floors, fixtures and fittings and light equipment using cleaning products as instructed, and at a time according to the cleaning rota or as directed.
To wash, sort and store all items of kitchen equipment, utensils and cooking implements.
Basic food preparation tasks as requested by the kitchen management.
Be aware of company COSHH, Health & Safety policy in your workplace and assist others to help to maintain a safe working environment.

We’re currently looking for Reservations advisors to join our small and fun team based in Bournemouth - but don’t think this is just like every other call centre role!

You’ll get to speak to our wonderful customers, many of whom travel multiple times a year and you’ll be booking great value holidays. You’ll be part of a team where everyone knows your name and you’ll get to enjoy a fun and friendly environment.

The role is full time and includes weekend work on a rota basis - you’ll typically work one full weekend and one Saturday or Sunday per month. To ensure our high service levels, we operate a variety of shifts but there’s not silly early starts or super late nights – our earliest shift is 8am – 4.30pm and our latest is 9.30am – 6pm. Sunday we’re only open 9am – 3pm and you get a full day off in the week in lieu, so you’ve still got plenty of time for a life outside work.

The Reservations Advisor – Duties and skills

As a Sales Advisor you'll be the primary or inbound sales for all hotels. You’ll become an expert in all areas of our holidays and assist our customers with selecting the right break for them.

Duties:

Answer inbound calls for booking and brochure enquiries
Deliver excellent customer service
Answer customer emails and website call-backs
Working closely with the various hotels and coach team
Sending booking paperwork and brochures
Skills:

We’re looking for people with the following skills. Any previous travel our tourism experience is welcome but certainly not essential as full training will be provided.

Hard working and self-motivated
Ability to work well in team
Good computer skills (full booking system training will be given
Excellent customer service skills
A willingness to learn
