The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a background in defining business and application architectures and roadmaps for data science and AI based solutions. You’ll bring expert knowledge of enterprise data architecture, solution data architecture, architecture for data science and AI with knowledge of industry architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.

In addition, you’ll be a thought leader of architecture for data science and AI solutions and enterprise design in the bank influencing business and technology teams. You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to colleagues up to senior leadership level, along with a good understanding of Agile methodologies with experience of working in an Agile team.

You’ll also have:

Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Inherited Metabolic disease

The post will be based within Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine and will be supporting research studies across Manchester Rare Conditions Centre and the NIHR Children’s Clinical Research Facility.

Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). The role of the Clinical Research Fellow will be to support the existing portfolio of rare disease Clinical Research projects within the children’s CRF and beyond. There will be opportunity to accrue clinical experience within the regional and supraregional metabolic service.

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic teaching professional who can work as part of our dedicated and exceptional team. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Science to join a progressive school in Manchester,on a full-time and permanent basis, from January 2025 or sooner. The successful candidate will teach a timetable of Science across the age and ability range of the academy, delivering agreed schemes of work, and leading and managing staff and resources in the Science Faculty.

Your role as Head of Science is to:
Lead the Science team.
Raise and maintain standards across the faculty.
Raise the profile of the faculty within the academy.
Plan high quality lessons and lead the delivery of consistently good and outstanding teaching and learning opportunities.
Carry out the day-to-day duties of a classroom teacher.

As part of an on-going review of monitoring of student progress, you have three core roles within the faculty:
Making judgements about the standards of students achievement.
Evaluating all aspects of teaching and learning and setting priorities for improvement across the faculty.
Leading sustainable improvement by identifying targets for improvement, by developing and leading strategies to achieve these targets and by quality assuring the delivery of the curriculum.

You will be joining a strong and supportive team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, who narrows the gaps in the achievement of all groups of learners through implementing high quality teaching which directly impacts upon pupil progress. Including a curriculum which facilities the progress of all learners to ensure responsive interventions across the Science subjects.
