The Co-Centre brings together an academic team from 17 research institutions across all 3 jurisdictions. The vision of the Co-Centre is to develop innovative and transformative solutions to transition our food systems to become more resilient and sustainable through a multi and interdisciplinary programme of basic and applied research. The Co-Centre research is structured as Platforms, demonstrator projects and spokes which include targeted projects which are funded wholly or in part by industry. A platform dedicated to Nutrition and Health will provide evidence-based data to encourage the development, acceptance, and uptake of healthy diets from sustainable sources (HDSS) across all population groups.

This role will support Professor Louise Dye to conduct a programme of research within this platform which seeks to understand and ensure equitable access to breakfast provision and intake in children and adolescents across the Island of Ireland. This research will support the transition to HDSS and address micronutrient deficiencies.

A key focus will be developing assays to detect and quantify calcium channel conformations and interactomes, contributing to research on psychiatric disease mechanisms within a vibrant, international team. This is a 3-year position, available immediately.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction and assembly of concrete formwork systems on a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in formwork carpentry and a passion for creating high-quality, precise work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret plans and blueprints to construct formwork for concrete structures
- Measure and cut materials accurately to fit formwork specifications
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and dismantle formwork systems
- Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square
- Maintain formwork systems and ensure they are in good condition for reuse
- Work collaboratively with other members of the construction team to ensure project deadlines are met

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in formwork carpentry
- Experience in constructing formwork for various concrete structures, including walls, columns, and slabs
- Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints
- Experience using hand and power tools to assemble and dismantle formwork systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to formwork carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended periods of time
- Have a driver’s license

Key role objectives

Sitting within the Financial Inclusion Team the post holder will provide administrative support to both the Projects and Interventions Officer, and the wider Financial Inclusion Team. The post holder will primarily be working on the new Energy Crisis Support Scheme and key areas of responsibility will include:

• Checking applications to ensure that the required documents have been received to enable processing, and liaising with applicants where further information is required
• Supporting applicants with additional needs (i.e., language barriers/learning disabilities) to make applications into the scheme
• The use of IT including case management systems and spreadsheets to accurately record information and prepare statistical information as and when required
• To answer customer enquiries regarding the eligibility criteria, the application process and any other enquiries relating to the Energy Crisis Support Scheme in a timely and efficient manner
• To provide a high-quality support service to the Energy Crisis Support Scheme Team with a focus on the delivering excellent customer service to our tenants and residents.
